Good Friday in United States

Good Friday occurs two days before Easter Sunday in the United States. It is the day when Christians commemorate Jesus Christ's crucifixion, which plays an important part in the Christian faith. It is not a federal holiday in the United States, although it is a state holiday in some states.

Now I know some may blast me for it but being raised and from the South I don't care I grew up celebrating Easter and it may have a bunny and candy for the kids and religious context but I happen to cherish those memories of family around this holiday weekend.

It wouldn't be Easter weekend without it! :thumbs:

Happy Good Friday!

Today we will color eggs and i'm sure a nice big mess to clean up afterwards..lol and we will be eating egg salad all next week :P

Anybody with comcast service??have you noticed while you're watching tv and when the phone rings, it now shows on your tv who is calling, what will they think of next??

07/21/11 filed AOS off tourist visa

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

Morning everyone. I hope you all have a great weekend. Today I got off of work so I'm going out to get my hair done, but first I have a neurology appointment to go to. I've been annoyed with this neurologist, but maybe he will listen to me this time :(

Maureen- I've never seen the caller ID with cable, but I know I've had caller ID on my TV with Dish Network for years.

Nagi, I hope you are feeling better today.

HELLO S and S!! How's life treating ya?

Charles I wanted to say....3 days to go??? Well your little egg may be hatching just in time for Easter, eh???

I hope for Nessa's sake the little boy comes soon.

Well I just wanted to have some fun and ask you guys what candies did you like finding in your Easter baskets every year?

I would have to say Resees was my all time favs and my mom used to find these Hummingbird eggs...which are little tiny pastel colored eggs that tasted a little like candy corns...same texture just different colors.

Anyway being Italian we I always look forward to brocolli rabe, some roast pork sandwiches and ricotta pie...oh oh and my Mom Mom always made this awesome Easter bread!

I hope you all have a blessed Easter.

I am just heading to my mom's. My hubby has to work but getting time and half for that.

Only 1 1/2 hours to go until I get out of here. Not sure what we are going to do. Something in the city I think and unfortunately they are calling for rain.

Happy Good Friday to all! This is also a very blessed weekend and I am very excited for all the festivites that surround it.

I loved black jelly beans, I would trade my other candies with brothers and sisters for theirs.
