It's the petitioner. Your question indicates you neglected to carefully read the instructions that come with the I-134. That's a good way to ensure failure in the immigration process.

naaahhhh..we haven't even recieved the I-134..I am usually very good at pre-arranging prior to making any actions before recieving instructions. But you sure should get a metal for seeing I neglected the I-134 instructions through assumptions. Wow is that a rap song? God bless brother. I gotta go ...so long.

If you're expecting to "receive" an I-134, you'll have a long wait. Just download it and the instructions from www.uscis.gov

The petitioner.

Regarding any other forms it is my opinion that ONLY the USC petitioner fill out ANY forms. Dividing the duties, multiplies chances for problems by a square of the divisions

(laughing) pushbrk stop being an old fart.

Look, I prepared EVERYTHING for my wifey, just signed on the bottom as "other preparer" title "spouse". Even if you want to "divide duties" the I134 is definitely yours.

I-134 doesnt go with the AOS my friend. I-134, bank statements, tax returns, employer letter, and pay stubs go with your wife to the consulate so they can dig through your finances and make sure you can support her. The jakarta embassy wants all of the above FYI dont leave any out.

i don't get it.

The Petitioner is the Applicant.

It doesn't matter who prepares the document, just who signs it.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

For the purposes of the I-134, the petitioner is the sponsor and the beneficiary is the "applicant". The petitioner signs as the sponsor of the visa applicant.
