funny how they asked (family) me to take nursing (after a series of shifting courses), but im not into it. gusto ko nga maging mekaniko haha but my dad said no or even my hubby said its not really a desirable job for me knowing my size. so eto walang magawa sa buhay... though right now, studying online helped a lot... gusto ko nga real school but medyo di kaya sa sked or sa budget... i still fix small things dito sa bahay pag kaya. dad ko kasi was a mechanical engineer so i think nag mana ako sa kanya. kaya lng medyo stereotype ata kasi babae. lol... good luck din sayo!!! i know we all find our ways somehow... kahit gaano ka hirap. we'll get there! God bless all!!!

Degree/University: BS Nursing (St Luke's College of QC, TCQC '92) licensed with CGFNS; MAED- Teaching in the Early Grades (UP-Dilman) 2000; MAED-Special Ed.

UP Dliman 2003 (licensed Special Education teacher in New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia) I forgot to add I also took 20 units from Towson University in Maryland and 20 units in Notre Dame University in Baltimore

Recent Job: SPecial Education Teacher/Trainor

Reason: I love teaching... this is my calling. Nursing profession might be handy someday if I get tired of nasty parents in the US. ahahaha! I miss working with Filipino students and dealing with Filipino parents, very respectful and appreciative.

Yes, It is easy to find a job as a Special Education teacher as long as you are highly qualified - with the extensive educational background and years of experience (I have 15 years, Hayan na reveal na age ko) :crying: If you are good in documentation and making reports - doing educational/psychological assessments, good team leader, good communication skills and need to have tons of PATIENCE for persons with special needs and for their parents. If you have all these then I suggest you go for it. I was earning like $80K/-85Kin 10 months and what's good about it when the kids are off, off din ako!!!! I dont work during the summer break, pahinga and para makapag recharge. I hope I gave you an idea about my profession.

Can I add my sister's profession and educational background?

School: De La Salle University (Taft)- BS Philosophy '94

Graduate School: Ateneo de Manila - MA in Philosophy 2000 and MA in Theological studies

Job: College Professor in Philo (hehe, obvious ba?) and she gives retreats and recollection along with the Jesuit brothers in Ateneo.

Reasons: She loves talking and learning people; she entered the monastery couple of years back but realized that she can still serve outside the convent.

Forgiveness is not saying what someone did to us is right. It is saying, "I'll let God straighten this out"..
