Hello Fellow Vj members,

I read from one of our poster here giving advice that it is best to have the kids a pre medical exam before the medical exam at St.Luke.

My two kids just had their Xray and the doctor told my mom(kid's guardian) that the Xray result is negative so there is no need for TB test to be done.

My questions are;

1. How would I know if my kids are really okey?should i just believe what the doctor told my mom? Doc said no need for TB test since the Xray is negative.

My 7 yr.old son had a history of primary complex reason i wanted them to have the pre med exam.Doc said no need for tb test.

2. So is the xray should be done first to know if one is positive of TB before the tb test/.Pls. help me so i would not worry.Thank you very much.

my son had a medical check up a month b4 his medical and they found out that he have a primary complex,the doctor gave him a 6month medication and on his medical at St. Lukes,my sister showed them his xray film,they said to her just to continue his medication and til now his visa is not yet issue..when we asked the embassy they said its only the St. Lukes will decide when he can go...but everytime we will call them,they will always tell us its still in the consulate table for review..so maybe the consulate wait til my son medication will be done,he will complete his 6months medication on May.

so whatever you think best for for the kids then go for it...to avoid too much delays..

If xray is negative, and the doctor told you its clear and no need for TB skin test... then you have nothing to worry about it.

No need to worry if x-ray results were negative..... :)

Just seen the scanned result of my kids xray and the radiologist's interpretation says 'BOTH LUNG FIELDS ARE CLEAN" ,HEART WITHIN NORMAL" so I think i will have no reason to worry now.

Thank you really so much fellow Vj'ers.
