DS-230 Part I - Unclear Questions

On the DS-230 Part 1 form, starting on question 14, it asks me the name of my "spouse." We are doing a K-1, so are not married yet -- I only have a fiancee. Am I to write his name in this field or leave it blank?

Directly after that, there are questions saying "father's date of birth, mother's date of birth," etc etc... but it's unclear if this is related to my fiancee (spouse?) or if it's asking ME for MY parents' info.

Help? Thanks.

The beneficiary fills these out. These are from the perspective of the beneficiary.

You are applying for a K1 so you should not have a current spouse. You put "NONE" for this question.

Directly after that, there are questions saying "father's date of birth, mother's date of birth," etc etc... but it's unclear if this is related to my fiancee (spouse?) or if it's asking ME for MY parents' info.

Beneficiary's father/mother etc, as these are in support of the beneficiary's application for a visa.

Help? Thanks.

Maybe different at your embassy but most embassies require a DS 156, DS 156K and a DS 157 for fiance visas. DS 230 is normally for immigrant visas. K1 is nonimmigrant.

Ah,

I might have added for clarification for those coming after,

The questions referred to are 14 and 15. The way you know the mothers and fathers name don't go with the spouse is that they are in box 15. If they were related to the question about the spouse they would be in box 14 (or 14a - if there was one)

The letter I got from the Embassy says I need two copies DS-156, DS-156K and DS-230 Part I.
