What's gonna happen?

I check everyday my status on uscis website and my application is still pending and is not touched. I don't worry about that because I know it's still early for me to have some news ( I wish I was in CSC!!!!)

I am extremely worried for my timeline in visajourney.

One week ago my timeline showed me an exitimated date for adjudication on June 2nd!, three days ago was showing June 15th, yesterday was showing June 25th and today:

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between June 30, 2009 and July 22, 2009*.

What's gonna happen to us - VCS???? I am scared that everyday the timeline will add 5 days. What's going on?

Please somebody knows it?

Thanks :crying:

Maybe you don't wanna hear from me, cuz I was at CSC and I already got approved. But, Igor's is only an estimate. Mine jumped TWO MONTHS over a week once. And I ended up getting approved a few weeks before what my timeline said. In saying that, plenty of people get approved AFTER the date on the timeline. It really just depends on the recent approvals. If there have bee approvals that took especially long, the timeline will jump. Same if there are some really fast ones. There were days where my timeline would jump a week just over the course of a day. Just don't fret about it! I wasted far too much time caring about Igor's.

It's VSC.

And what's going to happen? Eventually you're petition will be approved. It just takes time. i know it's hard. I've been in your shoes, but freaking out over Igor's list will get you nowhere.

your timeline will move around a lot, just prepare for a wait time of 4-6 months. the timeline estimate on here is just that, an estimate. when i was waiting for my noa2 my timeline went from being approved in early august to mid october. we got approved in mid october but many people got theirs before that. just be patient and try and occupy yourself with planning your wedding and future lives together. checking that list and logging into the uscis site every day will drive you crazy!! good luck on your journey. :)

Like everyone else said the timeline is just an estimate, and more than often is not accurate in early stages. When we first sent in our K-1 petition, the timeline on VJ said our case would be adjudicated in September, we sent it in July and got our NOA1 in August. That timeline of course changed periodically, from Sept, Oct, end of November, first week of December, blah blah blah finally it was approved February 4th. Don't drive yourself nuts, I know it's hard not to though! You'll be approved within time :)

February 4, 2009 - NOA2 SENT, APPROVED!

Well I don't check it every day, but every so often for grins. My wife has been here for 7 months and has her CGC. Our case still says "received and pending". Don't tell my wife, she thinks she is living in Vermont USA.

You only filed two months ago. Take a breath and relax :)

By the way, we are at CSC and have been waiting almost 6 months, so I don't know about CSC being better.

As everyone has said try not to think about it too much. I took a couple of weeks off from VJ cos I was getting myself in a state looking at how my timeline was changing everyday (sometimes up, sometimes down) and how other people were getting approved so fast. My timeline moved to mid April after a few weeks, then moved to mid May to mid June a couple of days before we got our NOA2. It's not an exact science at all. I would just aim for the 4-6 month range. That's a lot more helpful in trying to keep the stress levels down

I got approved when they showed that they were still 5 months behind from even reaching the month that we filed. My status still shows pending on there and I am gearing up for my interview in 2 weeks.

advise: STOP LOOKING AT IT! It is grossly inaccurate and you will drive yourself bonkers :bonk:

timelines go back and forth, they are an approximation of when ur approval may be based on other VJers' experiences. most ppl see approvals around 4-5 months (except some recent CSC filers in 30 days?? but thats not common). Expect to wait a good 5months. Your timeline isnt full-proof, it just gives u a general idea and will fluctuate greatly! My approval took 7 months, it was painful. your time will come. Hang in there! i know its hard!!

Yes, itz the so-called, Envy Box effect. Itz not good to watch Cribs, Trump, Lives of the Rich and Shameless, cuz you just end up jealous and not feeling good.

Likewise, dont get into comparing timelines if it just makes you feel bad and envious.

The way I figure it, the day that my baby getz her visa months from now, someone else here will be announcing their divorce.

If everyone gathered in a circle, and could see everyone's problems piled up in the middle, chances are, we would go retrieve our own problems.

Enjoy your life and timeline, and know it is meant for you both at this time.

Cheers :star:

Timeline

Another important fact to remember is that Igor's list is an estimate, and I wouldn't necessarily say that it is highly accurate. It's only as accurate as the members who update their timeline promptly. My suspicion is that there are dozens of members who have not updated their timeline and the system assumes that their application is still pending.

Just my 2 cents :)

Good luck on your journey and have faith! We are all here to support you and each other :)

Everyone has already prolly told you not to worry about it and it has only been 2 months.. but they are right. It is taking about 6 months now to go from NOA1 to NOA2 at VSC, and speaking from experience you will drive yourself crazy if you live by Igor's list. Think of the positive like they have issued the NOA1 which is a small step, but still something to be happy about. My original estimate for approval on VJ was before Christmas, and I wasnt approved until March. Dates will fluctuate a lot before you get the NOA2.

I had been worrying myself sick over the same thing. But the more I look around, the more I realize that what everyone is saying is true. My Igor list number actually has gone up. In looking closer, it appears some who filed before me only recently entered their data. So they're not going backwards :huh:

The data is like any other application. Garbage in, garbage out. So it's up to us to keep our timelines up to date and let the averages sort themselves out. I'm thinking it's more useful in trending by weeks (or several weeks).

Looks like CSC was in the similar circumstance not that long ago. Now it's reversed, but surely it will trend back the other way over time. There's really no way that two separate offices will ever consistently maintain the same pace. The volume each location receives isn't equal, each case is different, and a multitude of other variations.

We'll all make it with time. Something tells me I'll be rushing around trying to get the next steps done before I know it. B)

I never would have believed my journey to happiness would begin with something called an "I-129F"

03/19/09 - I-129F Sent

03/20/09 - NOA1 (rec'd harcopy 3/26/09)

03/24/09 - Check cleared

03/25/09 - Touched

8/12/09 - Touched (4 hours before NOA2 email)

8/12/09 - NOA2 email received

***Received email at noon (Weds)

***USCIS site did update with the status

***Was 113 on Berkeley list; 156 on VJ list
