Wow.....I really hope you can solve this. What they have done to you is insane in so many levels. How can they be so irresponsible? It is amazing.

OMG - your situation is awful and I hope it gets sorted out. I have OCD from checking my status on Igor's list and was feeling sorry for myself because our estimated time of adjudication has slipped from mid August to beyond. Our wedding is planned for November and I am most likely going to have to move everything - so was pouting and pouting. Then I found these forums and started reading. After reading your posts, I feel stupid and self-centered. My fingers are crossed for you.

If I learned something in my life is that everything is relative. If you think you are having it bad look at your side and somebody is getting it worse. I am also feeling a bit down as I see my timeline moving farther away from us. I know is only an estimate but it sill hurts. But lets be positive on this.

PEACE my friends....................

Haha Michele, don't feel bad because you are frustrated with the process, its not your fault I am here. But thank you kindly for your well wishes :)

Today has been a bad day though, I once again had to pack my wedding gown into storage (which I brought last October) and in a few weeks our original wedding ceremony date (August 21) will be rolling past, Though Ill be honest, the one that is horrifying me at the moment is the 12 months since filing mark, I really hope that I don't I don't have to see that one through without our NOA2, i think i might break down and cry if that happens....

Hello everyone,

My fiance has phoned the VSC a few minutes ago,and unfortunately the man on the phone said that ''We are keeping your file, there are December 2008 files still here and for an April file approximately it'll take 5 months, but it can be changed'...

I don't want to demoralize,I just want to let you know.

Good luck.

It is hard to believe that they are still handling December files. What? Where they lost somewhere in the office? 5 months? I really really really hope is not like that. God help us!!!!!!!!

I do agree with you deeply. When I heard it,I got shocked...!! 5 Months?? We are told that the whole processing time is about 7 months. Especially my fiance asked him if they lost it or not,and he answered no.By following the others processing times and knowing that most approval dates weren't the same as the VSC said.I don't want to believe this silly info..beside these,I don't understand the working system of VSC.. There's nothing to do except waiting.Just want to share what I heard . Shouldn't become low spirited.. Sooner or later, the miracle day will come.. :energy:

GOOD LUCK AND MAY GOD BE WITH US....

I don't know... 4-5 months sounds about right. When you think about it, once VSC is done fumbling with the file, everything moves a lot quicker at NVC and the Embassy itself, so a 6-7 month timeline overall would still be possible. As a worst case scenario, it isn't horribly bad.

They are handling files from December, but also files from March. I'm keeping my hopes up by watching that.

Here's how I look at it.

VJ's timeline is only a guideline. We here on VJ are not the only people waiting on K1's in Vermont. There has to be plenty more out there and what of their timelines? How soon are their's being approved.

I'm still positive - I have to be...I'm still hoping for Thanksgiving at best and Xmas at worst. I'm still dress shopping and planning like any other bride to be out there. I won't let all this waiting and the visa process spoil it. Yes there are days when I can't breathe because it hurts so much to be apart but there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that light is worth waiting for - but it really wouldn't hurt for it all to hurry up!
