I-130 Prosessing time

Hello everyone!

I am in Canada and married to a US citizen. My wife filed I-130 for me on Dec. 2008 and we received I-797, Notice of Action after two weeks. Does anyone know how long is going to take to get answer from USCIS (approval)? It is almost three months past and I didn't recieved andy answer. According to the webpage they sopuse to enter your name in data base, so you could check it any time you wish, but mine doesn't show when I enter my recipt numbe. Please if anyone knows about this let me know! Thanks

There is not an exact time frame on when you will get an approval it take anywhere between 3-6months.

If you cant access your cas online call uscis and talk to a rep and ask them why your unable to do that.

You can not call from Canada, but my wife called form US and they don't answer properlly! Do you know any direct number from outside of US to reach USCIS?

This is there number i dont know how youll be able to reach it from canada i think youll have to use a calling card or something, if you call between 11am-12pm you wont have to wait long cause they are not busy at that time.

Thanks for your respond! But this number I tried before too, is not working form Canada! This is only within US.

that's weird...normally you can call US numbers from Canada?At least I used to?

Have you tried putting the international code before the 1-800 i.e. 011 800 etc etc... ?

I tried to call their 1-800 number from Europe once, and it worked when I did it that way...hope it works....

the international code for the US is 001, not 011. You only use 011 when calling international from inside the US.
