I'm so excited!!!!

He's leavin today huh! Woohoo! Watch those flights! We are in Vegas now, and it was a real pain in the ####### for the marriage license yesterday cause there was a shooting downtown and we had to take a taxi to another location and wait a million years but all was well, my mom's flight was delayed overnight in Calgary so will see her later this morning, they lost 1 night in their hotel stay but oh well. So it was a good thing we realized the time change, Nevada 3pm is 4pm Arizona time, so we had to tell the folks in England its 11pm there tonight, so glad we did all that yesterday...duhhhh

So folks tune in at www.littlechapel.com at 3pm LV time! Look for Allison and Nigel!

My fiance and I got the package that takes us to the licence place in a limo

My parents were paying and they said it sounded like a good idea, haha.

You're going to have to come back and tell us how it was, since I'm getting married there in 22 days :)

Well we got back home today! Long drive, tired, overall the chapel was awesome! The whole thing was excellent, wish we could have spent more time with the family but just had our 3 days in and out basically. Now we wait 10 days for ordering the wedding certificate thingie and get those big papers goin! Changing all my documents to my new last name (finally) and just take a big exhale..! Glad everyone watched the ceremony, wasnt sure if it was working for some people! Was a great experience....just glad we're home!

10 days for the certificate? Don't you like... get to take the one you signed with you? I always thought it worked that way.

Good morning, everyone!

Shewack-I love your profile picture :)

Starlight and EOTR-any new news?

Hope everyone is doing well!

This may apply more to the women on the thread, but have you guys ever read "Eat, Pray, Love"? Well, the author of that book recently released a new book about marriage and how she used to be a skeptic, etc, etc. Well, I liked "Eat, Pray, Love," so I picked it up. Maybe I was just in a bad mood, but I was immediately annoyed. She went on about how her boyfriend (a Brazilian jeweler with Australian citizenship) traveled back and forth for three months at a time for nearly two years. Of course, one day he was picked out at POE and was denied entry. She kept calling it exile (which I'm sure it felt like that) then describes how they were basically forced into getting a fiance visa. From there on, I was annoyed. She described how she needed three lawyers on three continents to help them get through the paperwork and the hardship of them having to travel all over Asia together while they waited for their petition to be approved. I know I shouldn't feel this way, but it was so dramatic and all I could think was "cry me a river." I know my process was really smooth, but I would have loved the luxury of being with my fiance throughout the process. Not to mention the fact that pretty much everyone here went through the process themselves (and surely didn't have three lawyers on three continents).

ANYWAYS.....There's my morning vent :D

Hope everyone has a great day!

Sheesh, she sounds very melodramatic, obviously a princess who's never had to do anything herself. makes me glad my parents didn't spoil me too much. I'd hate to turn out like that. lol i'm sure its a funny read tho' as long as yr laughing at her tee hee
