Hello- hope everyone is keeping the faith and going on strong

Our case is near complete from the NVC and soon will be forwarded to the embassy in Jamaica according to the NVC agent. I was advised by the agent from the NVC to contact the embassy and asked their procedure on how to abandon the K3 visa because we decided to wait on the I130visa process, which should be soon. The NVC is just waiting on the computer generated birth certificate, apparently Jamaica change/upgraded their format on bc.

I have emailed KNGSTN ( Jamaica) embassy 3 x's asking them their procedure and they email me back with this response: tell your spouse to come on april 14 at 1pm to pick up his K3 packet and wait for the immigrant visa interview. I don't get it am I not making myself clear to them or what? We shouldn't need the K3 packet if we are going forward with the immigrant visa. Should we take that opportunity to ask in person and present the waiver packet or what, I don't want to delay or confuse the process. Any suggestions?

Our attorney has even emailed them and asked their procedure to present the waiver packet and they responded the same way. What should we do? We been approved since October 2007 and now down to the final process. Once NVC receive the upgraded birth certificate the case will be complete and on with the next step.

JUST IGNORE IT, ITS NOT GOING TO HURT YOUR CR1/IR1 VISA... WHAT YOU CAN DO IS MAKE APPT FOR YOUR K3 AND IF THE IR1/CR1 COMPLETED YOU CAN CONVERTED THE K3 INTERVIEW FOR YOUR CRI/IR1.... ALOT OF US HERE IN VJS COMPLETELY IGNORED OUR K3 PROCEDURES AS YOU HAVE ONE YEAR TO FINISH IT. WE WENT WITH CR1/IR1, NO NEED TO DO ANYTHING TO K3 IF YOU DONT WANT!
