Hi all,

Caroline had her interview today and got approved! She is going to write up a review to post on the London embassy section as soon as she can.

Two questions:

- When she got home she realized they didn't take any of her passport photos. Her police report came with a photo attached (I had read that photos are often stapled to the police report at the embassy) is this anything to worry about?

- Does she need to bring her chest x-ray to America? Will we need this for anything?

Thanks

Congratz on the approval, and don't worry about the picture, maybe if they need it they will contact her but I don't think so. Regarding the X-rays, yes she has to bring that in the carry-on in case they ask for it at POE.

Good luck!

I think they would let you know if they needed a photo.

The chest x-rays? Good question. In our case "no". My wife gave me her chest x-ray to bring back with me after the interview and we gave it to our family doctor here. Of course you waqnt to keep that for future reference. They did not ask for it at the POE, only the sealed envelope.

there have been only one or two people out of thousands who have reported the need for the x-ray....

statistically insignificant... put it your checked luggage... no one at any POE is even qualified to read it... all information has previously been read by a DOCTOR and transcribed onto the medical report provided in the MBE...

When I asked he receptionist at the medical clinic in Vancouver what I was supposed to do with the giant xray, she told me to make a sun catcher out of it. I'll bring it with me, of course, but I'm not going to carry the damned thing around.

In the meantime, I have it hung up in my cubicle at work. People now think I'm weird...

Thanks everyone. I figured we were okay but with so many things during this process it is nice to be able to get some feedback on VJ to help you freak out a bit less during the process. I feel so much better after Caroline passed her interview and can almost relax now. I am sure we will have plenty more exciting and confusing paperwork to look forward to when filing for advance parole, adjustment of status, ssn, etc. but I feel like its all down hill from here. At least we can fill it out together. So, I guess she will roll up the giant x-ray, put it in her pocket and get on the plane.

Thanks again,
