Hi Everyone, my name is Omar and I'm from Puerto Rico. This is my first post here. While reading other post and not be abel to find answer for my question on how to submit visa i created this post.

Ok I want to file I-130/K-3 Visa for my wife and children but I was told i must file one for eache

One for my Wife

One for our son (which I'm his step-dad)

One for our daugther.

If that is correct it means i send one application for each or I send one I-30 for her and the children?

Well any other tip i receive will be welcome..

Thanks

Omar

Moving this to correct forum. K-1 forum has todo with fiancees, not spouse.

If you wish to do the CR-1 and CR-2 visas and save a TON of $$ yes file an I-130 for each immigrant all together to USCIS Chicago PO BOX, and then later if you wish to persu the OPTIONAL K-3 visa path you file the I-129F forms to the center handeling the I-130's.

Compare timelines, for most the CR-1 and K-3 visas have been taking the same time to process.

CR-1 / IR-1 visas get green-cards on entry to USA, K-Visas need to adjust status at added $$$.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

You can get lots of good information on this website - but

You first must file form I-130 for your wife and a seperate I-130 for each child. Once you receive the notice from the USCIS that the I-130 was received, you have the option of filing one I-129F petition for your wife and children. The I-129F used to be alot faster then the I-130 so lots of people used it. However recently the I-130s are almost as fast as the I-129F so many folks are not filing the I-129F (it is faster but has disadvantages).

Are you a US Citizen ??? If you are a US Citizen and you are the dad of the second child - then you need to file a consular record of birth abroad - this will get that child citizenship and a passport. If this is the case an I-130 is not appropriate.
