We were just assigned a NVC case number yesterday and are in the process of gathering all necessary documents for the DS-230 and I-864. Can someone please tell me if my husband needs to get multiple police clearances for all the places where he lived more than 6 months since the age of 16? Or an NBI clearance should about cover it?

Also, it is okay to just send photocopies of pay stubs for my I-864? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

he will need NBI and PCC both for the interview. If he lived in same city but different addresses then 1 PCC will be enough but if in different cities then he will need 1 from each city.

You said he needs to submit both NBI and PCC for the interview at USEM, but what about for the DS-230 application to NVC? Can we just submit the NBI one for now?

Thanks for your help.

Your husband need police clearance IF he has stayed in other countries for more than 6 months, but if he hasn't....then there's no need for him to get one. If he stayed in the Philippines since birth then he only needs NBI and nothing else.

We just sent the NBI for the DS-230 but my wife didn't leave the Philippines at any time. But for the interview we have both NBI and PCC.

Thanks for your help guys!

My husband has stayed in the country all his life, but has lived in different cities/provinces. He has obtained a NBI clearance already. I guess we can go ahead and submit his DS-230 application with the NBI one, and the PCC will be presented during his interview.

This NVC thing is so nerve wracking. We're almost so close yet so far still.
