Your bf should get an affidavit at the US embassy. The usual wait time from applying for your marriage license and civil wedding is 10 working days unless you know someone in Civil Registrar Office that will give your marriage license in a couple of days. Some offices requires you to submit CENOMAR. And then you still have to schedule your wedding with a judge or a mayor who will solemnize your wedding.

The USC should get Legal Capacity to Contact Marriage at the USEM. The requirements for getting it are: USC's passport, USC's Birth Certificate and USC's Divorce Decree. USEM is open every Mon- Fri except US and Philippine Holidays. There is a service fee of $30.00 for the affidavit. It only takes 10-15mins for them to release the Legal Capacity.

After obtaining the Legal Capacity, go to the Municipal Hall or Local Civil Registrar and apply for Marriage License. Here are the requirements in obtaining Marriage License:

For Filipinos

1. NSO Birth Cert

2. Parents' Consent (for 18-21 years old) or Parent's Advice (for 21-25 years old)

3. ID

4. CENOMAR (not all Local Civil Registrar requires this)

For USCs

1. U.S. passport

2. The Affidavit from the U.S. Embassy

3. A divorce decree or spouse's death certificate, if previously married;

NOTE: Under Philippine law, the legal age for marriage is 18. If the contracting parties are between the ages of 18 and 21, they must present written consent to the marriage from their father, mother or legal guardian. While any contracting party between the age of 22 and 25 must present written parental advice, i.e., a written indication that the parents are aware of the couple's intent to marry.

The couple MUST attend seminars (Family Planning and Pre-Marital Counseling) as this is also part of the requirements in obtaining Marriage License.

It takes 10-11 days for you to get the marriage license after submitting ALL the requirements (including the Certificate of Attendance in seminars).

Once you got the Marriage License then you are free to get married any time you want to.

"Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.

You need to be in Philippines a minimum of 10 days. I believe there is a manditory 10 day waiting period after you apply for the marriage certificate.

you can get the requirement info from your local civil registrar but to be exact...

Your foreigner bf needs:

1. Copy of Divorce Decree (bring this to the USEM)

2. The USEM will issue an Affidavit of Singleness. Remember, your BF need not wait in line. Just show the guards his passport and you can go straight in.

You need the following:

1. NSO Birth Certificate (recent) / If you don't have any, bring your baptismal certificate and affidavit from your parents.

2. ID (SSS, PASSPORT)

3. If you are still 21+1day -25 years below, you need PARENTAL ADVICE. 18-21years old you need PARENTAL CONSENT.

Go to your local civil registrar, file it yourself. DO NOT USE FIXERS!!! You will regret this later on. I paid less than Php2000 for my civil wedding. IF you use fixers, they will ask you to pay Php14,000-Php20,000. You MUST wait for 10 days for the Marriage license to be issued. DO NOT TAKE ANY SHORTCUTS, believe me this might bite you in the #### someday. IF the USEM finds out about you not waiting for 10 days, they may declare your Marriage NULL AND VOID for lack of marriage license. I suggest you do not use any of those pastors outside the cityhall. Pastors that you do not know or are not affiliated with. Go to the local RTC, the cost of getting a real judge to marry you is like less than Php500. This will be better for you in the long run because you can always go to the IBP (Integrated Bar of the Philippines) to check the judge's membership number in case the validity of the solemnizing officer is raised.

This is from my experience only and partly because I'm taking up law in the Philippines. BY ALL MEANS, please check the details with our proper government agencies. HOWEVER, I would really really really hope you take my advice about not using FIXERS. I hope you do not jeopardize your future by doing this, and not waiting for the 10 days wedding ban.

Good luck! If you need more details you can send me a PM.

Nope, kailangan mga 1 month para sigurado kase meron mga class na u need to attend and him. And ur bf still need to go to consulate to get clearance and will neeed that to apply for marriage license and the class you both have to attend, tHERE IS ALSO 10 days not included the weekend waiting. I am glad I did the 30 days leave and I actually only have 3 days to spare for honeymoon everything else is the waiting time. I also paid off some couple for the class I have to take, they can use the money, so I can attend that mandatory class. I asked them NICELY if I can take their slot for the class and I asked them I will compensate thier time, they both agreed as they not marrying anytime soon, I do cause I was on crunch time.

yeah a month or 3 weeks at least.

i suggest you attend the seminar, they're nice naman. do not attempt to skip this. 2 hours lang po ito. ito lang ang required na seminar, unless you are still 18-21, then you have to go to DSWD to attend the seminar there too.

BUT they will attempt to fix you with a FIXER. yes, illegal po ito, pero syempre being pinoy kelangan mag-sideline.

Be careful with the FIXER, the lady called us and trying to fixed the documents for us so we don't have to go through the hassle and enjoy my leave (vacation), she tried to charged us Php 10,000 pesos for the time and she will make sure she get all the documents done for us but she cant guarantee to expedite our paperwork. So we decided to everything ourselves, the run around from getting the CENOMAR, going to the class, to the consulate, all together we save alot of money by dloing ourselve eventhough I didnt have much time to enjoy my vacation but at least I was with my wife through the whole process. Jeepney will do almost the same as the taxi only a little slower but still get u there
