And what needs to be stated in this letter? Is there a template here?

And check your embassy's web site (you don't mention it or I'd give you a link) to see what else they may require.... there's a lot of info you'll need to provide besides the letter....

I dont have an embassy Im here in USA I thought with the affiadavit of support required a letter from my employer was requested

If you're filing for a K-1, check the website for the embassy that will issue the visa to your fiancé(e) to find out that country's specific requirements as far as the affidavit of support (I-134 or I-864).

If you're filing for AOS, check the requirements for form I-864.

If you're filing for a K-1, check the website for the embassy that will issue the visa to your fiancé(e) to find out that country's specific requirements as far as the affidavit of support (I-134 or I-864).

You will need to provide an Affidavit of Support for your fiance's interview/packet 3... the Embassy's web site you need to refer to is the US Embassy in your fiance's country that is has jurisdiction for the K1 visas.. You mention that you're applying for a K1... your fiance will eventually apply for an AOS once here in the US... if you provide more info/timeline in your profile, folks on this board will have an easier time answering your questions directly.

As well as looking for specific requirements on the US consulate website of the country of your fiance, and the instructions on the I-134, you may also benefit from reading HERE

Keep in mind that the I-134 is only one thing that a conof may use at the interview in determining if the applicant (in this case your fiance), will or wont become a public charge. Hence why there is often other things one can be requested to submit, other then what is stated on the I-134 instructions, in order for the conof to ascertain that.
