FILED 1-130 in OCT

i filed my i-130 in october 06 2008, my file is at the vermont service center... i am a US citizen, my wife is from india...i recieved a NOA1 in october, and nothing from them since...

why are people from the east coast getting NOA2s and approvals and im not getting ANYTHING... should i call them? i know the website says that the approval time is 6 months and that is up on april 6th 2009...but i am getting worried...if something goes wrong i am just going to quit my job and go wait with her because i am fed up of this garbage...

We have yet to hear anything yet as well (NOA 1 Oct 20th). I guess we are in the slow lane. When you see petitions approved in a couple of months it is rather disconcerting. The first come first served looks to be nonsense, which is our biggest gripe. I hope you get your approval soon and you can start to move forward in your lives.

i just don't know what it is, i have NOTHING to tell my wife for the past 6 months, not a letter, not a phone call, not an email (touch or whatever the hell it is) i'm getting furious! i see people who are not even born citizens, or whatever getting approvals months before me who submitted months after me! 2-3 months! HOW DOES THIS GOVERNMENT JUSTIFY THIS!?!@#$%

Your right you should quit your job and move there and wait and wait and wait....without income for AOS you be waiting a life time. If I got your attention now you just need to be patient, your time will come soon enough. Im assuming you already have everything ready for the next phase of your journey, I found this helped my wife and I out as it gave us something to focus on besides missing each other. Good luck.
