Question about the medical exam

I was curious as to whether it's possible to schedule the medical exam and interview within a day or 2 of each other. My fiancee and i will be flying from Cebu to Manila for both of those things and want to try and do both on one trip. Is it up to the Embassy schedule, or can we schedule it ourselves so we only make 1 trip to Manila?

We are still new to all of this, so thanks for any info.

you can't. you have to give an allowance of at least 2 weeks between the two. medical exam takes two days, the least if everything gets cleared. and you have to give st luke's time to forward the documents to the embassy.

but, you can do the cfo seminar before your medical exam. or after, if you still have your passport at hand.

the least you can do is have your medical monday and tuesday and your interview friday... thats pushing it but it could happen. although its best to have the medical 7 days early (minimum) or a month even, just to be safe... i know we want to do it all at once to save or something but its a benefit for us if you have it on the right time. good luck!

What I did was originally set my interview on March 27, then went to Manila on March 2 for the medical. March 6, medical was cleared and so that very day, I called USEM to ask them if they can get me an interview date the week after as I am from out of town. They did have an available date on March 10 and so I was able to reschedule and got my visa earlier than expected.

Hope this helps.

Not a good idea to have the medical and interview close together. If there are minor problems at the medical the interview could be delayed a couple months. I had my wife get hers 1 1/2 months early.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Thanks for the info. So my fiance would fly to Manila once for the medical, which takes approximately 2 days, then once for the interview, preferably atleast 2 weeks or so after the medical?

She was nervous about flying to manila alone, (she's never been out of Cebu). I can only be there once, either for the interview, or the medical. She wanted me with her for her first trip to Manila so shes not alone, but me being there for the interview on her second trip is more beneficial than me being there with her for the medical....isn't it???

Don't necessarily think think it is beneficial to her for you to be around during the interview. If it's the first time for her to be in Manila on her medical. I suggest you go with her at that time as she would need someone to talk to during the whole painful wait.

The interview is not as bad. :) And again, when the medical gets done early, you can always call the embassy and ask if they can reschedule your interview to an earlier date.

P.S. When this happens, make sure you inform St. Lukes of your intention to reschedule if possible and they will either give you her passport for her to personally bring it to the embassy.

PM me if you need me to explain it better. I am from Cebu too that's why I was so desperate to do the medical and interview all in one go.

We may take you up on that. Thanks for the response HD. :)
