Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Hopefully Today does get us all over the HUMP!

I just want next week to be here. This week is dead for me as my hands are tied till lawyer sends out our packet to NVC. Glad it's hump day. I will definitely not be home this weekend as it will make the weekend go by faster. Last weekend took ages to pass and I find myself desperately waiting for Mondays (weekdays when NVC is open).

03/05/09: K3 and I 130 both approved! FINALLY after 230 emotionally trying days @ VSC!!

03/06/2009 : NVC Received; 03/09/09 Case Number Assigned; 03/10/09 K3 stuck in AP

03/17/2009 : AOS/IV fee bills generated (by email @ 10:00 p.m.); 03/18/2009 : AOS/IV fee bills paid online

03/27/2009 : AOS/DS 230 package sent to NVC; 04/02/2009 : AOS & DS-230 entered into NVC system

04/14/2009 : Found out K3 was forwarded to the consulate in Leb and CR1 stuck in AP; 04/18/09: K3 delivered

I leave here on April 16th, will be in Bombay from the 18th till the 23rd. I then go to Ahmedabad until the 27th, and fly back the morning of the 27th :)

I booked with Qatar Airways, since I need to do a multi-city return, and a one way with my wife. I also wanted to make sure we got seats together, so it took 45 minutes on the phone and I booked it with Qatar's reservation office in NY. So glad the tickets are booked!!!
