So on the checklist, they mention 5 identical pictures.

Of course I only have 4 identical.

3 are requested for the medical and 2 for the interview.

Can I scan one of those pictures to make a 5th picture? That way I'll have 5 identical pictures But one will be a copy. Is that ok though?

Some people say they didn't need the 3 pictures for the medical, that it only requires one.

Can someone who had the medical done in Toronto at Dr. Seiden's confirm the number of pictures actually needed?

Let's say it's really 3, can I go to the interview with scanned pictures?

I never needed all 5 pictures...

I think they took one or two of the pics at the medical and one at the interview and that's it

They took 3 at the medical for me and then 2 at the interview.

I wouldn't risk bringing a copy. They glue them onto all your documents.

Can you scan it and then print it on photo paper? Not sure what the quality would be like. If that doesn't work, I'd get 5 new pictures taken to be safe.

Better to be safe than cause any delays for yourself.

I don't believe that they do. I used different photos for the immigration paperwork and for the medical and as it was they only took one of the three I brought for the medical so had those two left over.

I used up 3 at the medical (Dr. Seiden in TO) and 2 at the interview (Montreal).

Have you asked the consulate through email? You're probably best off submitting 3 of the 4 that you have for the medical. Then get 2 more done closer to the interview. One photo gets wasted this way, but at least you'll have the right amount and they'll be consistent within each submission.

^^ I would email Montreal and see if you can just get 2 new ones before purchasing all new ones. Unless you know of a cheap place. I got mine done at 6 for $10.

It was just a little random shop in Queens, NY, sorry it wasn't anywhere well known.. unless you plan on visiting Queens in the near future, hehe.

I did notice here in Canada there are a few photo places (not chains) that do them for 2 for $10 though and then I bet they would give you a deal on the next 3... mom and pop shops seem to be much cheaper than Blacks and chain stores.

Although, I did read that Zellers is pretty cheap. $10 for 2, and then it was less for a second set. And CAA also does them cheaply if you are a member.
