Where does a Vietnam citizen get a passport?

I've tried looking online a few different times, but have come up with zero results since I do my searches in English, but does anyone know where a Vietnamese citizen (living in Vietnam) applies for a passport? Kha Han lives in Ho Chi Minh City so that would be the preferred place to apply.

My Wife recently got her's and she went to My Tho, which is the Provincial Capital of Tien Giang. She was living in Cai Be (Tien Giang) at the time, which is where she is from and had to go to My Tho. She says it takes a long time in Sai Gon and thinks you have to apply in the Province you are from. Her's only took a 16 days in My Tho.

Do you know if there is a certain building name we should be looking for? She is actually from An Giang Province so I hope we can find the place there since we will be there in 2 weeks.

The cities of Long Xuyen (the provincial capital) and Châu Đốc, both of which are located on the Hau Giang branch of the Mekong, exist as independent municipalities.

You should go to Long Xuyen if my Wife is right.

theres a place on Ly Tu Trong in district 1 that does it. i forgot the name but its on the left side of the street. start going up the beginning of Ly Tu Trong and you should see it on your left, like 2-3 blocks. i think it was called Mango Travel Agency or something. cant remember, but i remember that its the name of a fruit. anyways, if you cant find it. then go to Nguyen Du, which is a block over. there, at the end of the street, on your left is a place that does passport. on your right, there are a lot of guys that offer you services with making a new passport. should bargain and negotiate with them. my wife got her passport in 3 days and it cost only $400,000 dong. also, both of these street i mentioned are one way, so it should be easy to find. good luck
