Search function didnt give me much info. My fiancee is in Cebu. Her B-day is 2/25/89, she is 20 yrs old.

I have already filed the I-129 about 3 weeks ago. I have read that a "Letter of Consent" is needed at some point of the visa process, because of her age. What does this letter entail, who signs it, does it get notarized, when is it needed?

I was told by another 20 year old Filipina that she did not even give a letter of consent, and was never asked about it and got her visa with no problems.

Someone please let me know whats up...thanks.

I think she is old enough to marry you she's more than 18 years old which is the requirement in Philippines and if she really needs 'consent' it is from her parents they sign it.Goodluck.

Parental consent is sometimes asked for at the CFO seminar. I've saw a 20 year old pinay that was turned away and had to go home and get it before they would allow her to do the seminar.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

For me it's better to get her a parents consent, this letter states that she is permitted from her parents to get married on her age...because the marrying age in the CFO siminar atleast 21. SO, if i were her better to prepared who knows they will ask this letter of consent. No need to be notarized as long as it has her parents signature..that's all! i hope i shared enlightenment. (F) peace!
