Hi to all,

I want to know if my supporting documents are enough to send to my fiance for her interview, I did not file my taxes last 2008 because I made only 4k total income (4 months of part time work)

here is the list what i have right now.

1. 2006 & 2007 Tax transcript (12k annual income each year)

2. current pay stub (I started working full time early feb 2009 with $12/hour)

3. Employment letter

4. Bank statement

If this is not enough do I need a co-sponsor? I heard US embassy in manila don't accept co-sponsor for k1 fiance.

Thanks again to all of you guys

you'll need to have income 125% of the poverty guideline, right now the current poverty guideline is about $18,000 and some change, some consulate request the 3 prior years of tax returns also, and the prior 3 years must meet the poverty guideline. and the philippines might not accept co-sponsor, if i am wrong, somebody please correct me.

My fiancee's visa is still pending because I didn't know they would deny my Co Sponsor. I had to send them new evidence of support saying I made $18,216 and its been almost three weeks when they say it normally takes 7-10 days and we still haven't gotten a word from the embassy...

You need a co-sponsor and a letter explaining why you did not file a taxs return for 2008. UNLESS your current income is more than the guidelines, then you are fine. Prove your income with employment letter and check stubs and you are good.

Your current pay would qualify you. If Manilla has some other rules, please someone say so, but to my knowledge they use "current income" first. Your "current income" (if full time) is about $25,000, more than enough.
