Oh, by the way, I agree with what was said by other posters out here. Theoretically, income alone is enough OR assets alone are enough. But one thing I've learned out here is that the consulates kinda do things a bit differently from place to place, and it would not be a good thing if you came across a consulate at your interview that felt you should have both and you only had one.

Wow, what alot of different information! Thank you so much!! What do people do that don't have visajourney?? I can't imagine how they make it through the process!! I will contact the embassy directly and ask about the proof needed, and then also bring the other stuff just in case they ask me. I plan to be at the interview, whenever it will be, and if they were to ask me for something I didn't have it would really slow things down since they'd have to wait till I returned to USA. On a side note, why is it a UCIS form if it's used by state department?

Is this really necessary or are bank statements alone ok? If it must be the letter, does it need to be certified and do I need statements as well? Thanks in advance!!!!

UPDATE! I contacted embassy in Jordan and was told this: (cut and paste) Kindly note that form does not require notarization, it needs bank letter, employer letter and 3 years of taxes as well.

Necessary vs not necessary. I sent my letter from the bank. It they want it, they have it. If they don't want it, they have it anyhow. I had rather send too much than not enough and get a RFE. To each their own. This is a long and expensive process and I believe in furnishing what they want, what I think they want, what I want to send that is not mentioned. So far, so good in this process. I know their are ones who send less and get approved. I am happy for them. One never knows who will review their case, which side of the bed they got up on, good mood or bad mood, which instructions they are following, etc. The choice is yours, but I would send the bank information. Good luck on your journey.

Well said!! There are too many here trying to take short cuts and the easy way with too little work. Do the work, give them more than they need and get these crazy processes behind you so you can live with your fiancee!!
