Is there a seperate fee that my fiance has to pay before the interview? I was told that the $400+ I-129F application fee covers the visa and interview and at the time of the interview no fee needs to be payed.

I found this on the US Islamabad embassy website:

At the time of the interview the applicant pays an IV Processing fee prior to taking the oath and being interviewed.

IV Processing Fee - US $400.00 or Pakistani Rupee equivalent ($355 application processing + $45 worldwide security surcharge)

I hope we dont have to pay another $400 at time of the interview. Can someone please clarify/confirm this?

Thanks

IV = Immigrant visa a "K" visa is a non-immigrant visa so fee is $131

There definitely is a fee to be paid at or near the time of the interview... whomever told you was misinformed

Do not forget about the medical exam fee or a possible courier fee to deliver the passport/visa when issued.

YMMV
