dont worry, only another 5000 ball games this season to go,lol

I had to work last ngi1 more clinical rotation as a student RN to go he haww,lol-------but I read theodore only stopped 17 shots!! I would think the coach gived him 1 more shot---if he sucks, he gets pulled, and the rookie is in between the pipes!!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Best of luck to your Blues in the series! They scare me. Heh.

Since Holliday has been so nice in this thread, I should probably return the favor. Your Roberto Luongo made 2 effing incredible saves last night---ones that I don't think were, strictly speaking, humanly possible! Kind of frustrating, because I really don't think our guys were outplayed in either game. Game 1, both teams pretty much sucked, except for Mason and Luongo. Second game both were great--but Luongo made those unbelievable saves and Andy McDonald hit the frikkin goal posts three times when he was able to get past Luongo. Ack!!

Oh well, tomorrow they have to play HERE, and I think that's going to be different.

One thing that is really amusing me is they have this pre-game rally thing planned for tomorrow afternoon before the game. It's outside Scottrade Center---and they are predicting thunderstorms. I've got this image of 20,000 people trying to take shelter in the porto-potties with the tornado sirens going off.

Well Well, Varlamov steps up, and smacks down 23 of 24 shots (didn't really have a chance on the goal scored on him) and the rest of the Caps decide to take a Vacation from scoring.

That game was HORRIBLE. By the end of the game, there were more than a few boos from the fans.

Kudos to Boudreau for starting the rookie goalie (doubt that will wake up Theodore...nothing can really save him anyway), but I was really shocked at the starting line up (besides Varlamov). Jurchina, Poti, Gordon, Bradley, and Steckle...yes...that was the starting line up.

I was very scared they were going to score on the first play of the game. That's their THIRD line!!! Starting against the Rangers First line? I don't know what he was thinking there.

Oh well...they have a hard fight now to get back into it.

Better keep the kid in net though. He made some nice saves. It could have been a lot worse. Actually, the Caps should have scored at least 3 goals...empty nets and missed. Un-freakin-believable.

/end rant :D

Awww! Yeah Luongo is pretty spectacular. He pretty much IS the team right now. He was struggling a bit in January (and by "struggling" I mean he was playing kinda like a normal goalie. Hehe) but I'm glad that was just temporary. They'd be in a whole lot of trouble without him.

The game tonight should be pretty intense! I have a sinking feeling that the Blues will take it. I think Murray is going to light a fire under their butts and they'll come out flying tonight. Murray was PISSED at the end of game 2, and with good reason. It was totally unnecessary and unsportsmanlike for Bieksa to trip Crombeen as he did at the end of the game. I mean he's my favourite player, but come on... they were winning 3-0. There's no need for that kind of stuff. I hope he shows more restraint and common sense going forward.

Have fun at the game tonight! I hope the weather cooperates!

Yeah, I think our boys will win it tonight and Tuesday. Being down 0-2 is easier to come back from than being in last place in the Western Conference, and we actually pulled that one off. But we still have to win at least one game in Vancouver. I think if we lose any of our home games we are done for. It was exciting to get into 6th place but I kind of think we may have faired better against the Sharks. Hubby still thinks we can take it in 6. It should be fun tonight.

Flames, we are still hoping Calgary can make it. They looked pretty good in game 1 (better than the Blues did, actually). None of our plethora of sports channels carried game 2 of that series, so I only know they lost to Chicago. We're rooting for the Flames unless they play against us later on (family in Calgary).

From what I saw of the Flames/Hawks game (a bit of the 2nd, most of the 3rd), it seemed like they had their wheels on, but the technical aspects of their game were just way off (positioning, pass accuracy, etc.). It looked like the Hawks were able to sit back and be out-skated, but had no trouble capitalizing on their mistakes.

As for the Habs, well they make me sad. I was hoping they would get out of their slump.

On another note, holy #######! The Canucks have a 3-0 series lead! The officiating in tonight's game was ridiculous though for both sides. I wish Bill McCreary and his mustache would retire.
