Yes I agree, the local Congressman's office will be able to call and talk with someone about your case and update you.

how long is the ap normally? before charging off to your congressman's office, that might be worth finding out to see if you are outside of the normal processing times.

I hope your fiance made a copy of the I-129F. Make sure he put on your correct mailing address and your correct email address so that the embassy can get hold of you. If you have your A-number, then you can contact the US Embassy and find your case number. If you look at your NOA1 or NOA2, there will be an A-number right next to where it says "Beneficiary". Once you have a case number, you go online and check your status at the embassy website. Your embassy case number is different from your USCIS case number and starts with MNL.

"Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.

I was on AP for just 2 weeks. I called them about 4 times during the process and was told it could be 2 weeks or up to 6 months. There is no set time. I asked if my papers were in error or what. The first lady said no problem, they are double checking all paperwork, and it takes time. The next guy I spoke with said most likely I was chosen at random, and not to worry, it will go through.

They both may have been blowing smoke, but in 2 weeks, my paperwork was on it's way to Manila.
