One reported March filer with an NOA1 of 3/3 received NOA2 on 7/1 according to the below link. Since then, nothing. We're expecting that March will be a large number of the approvals once they start up again. But they still need to finish about 30% of Feb, not to mention some still waiting from Dec and Jan. It has been very slow the last few weeks.

I never would have believed my journey to happiness would begin with something called an "I-129F"

03/19/09 - I-129F Sent

03/20/09 - NOA1 (rec'd harcopy 3/26/09)

03/24/09 - Check cleared

03/25/09 - Touched

8/12/09 - Touched (4 hours before NOA2 email)

8/12/09 - NOA2 email received

***Received email at noon (Weds)

***USCIS site did update with the status

***Was 113 on Berkeley list; 156 on VJ list

Most would say "obsessed" but I like your description much mo bettah. Thanks, Richard. :P

Amy has been in tears the last several days. She sees our timeline getting pushed farther and farther back and just sees no end to it. I've tried to explain that we're close and it won't be much longer. Now if I could only convince myself. But there's no "give-up" in her and she'll be okay. I think we all could use some good news soon.

They can't hold the petitions forever. And once they start back up, we're on deck (if not in the batter's box).

I understand about Amy... Joanna through out this process has been very calm... hardly ever asking about where we were in the process or what number we were on Igor's list. But in the past week or so, she asks each day. She hasn't said much more than that... but you can tell it won't be much longer before she starts to really worry. She went to her Mother's for 4 or 5 days so that should take her mind off things.

Personally, I continue to believe that March approvals are very very near and I further believe that it is always darkest before the dawn... and it is pretty dark right now so the dawn can't be too far from here :)

We were so happy to get a touch last week, so surprised. Before that I was fine with waiting and my girl said nary a thing since we have been apart more than a year already. But since then I have been crawling the walls. My girl? I told her it was driving me crazy and she said "Why? We can do nothing but wait." The air went right out of my tension. She was right, we can do nothing but wait, and crawling the walls wastes energy. Gotta love the Chinese who understand the concept of SLOWLY in a civilization 5000 years old.

but yeah, VSC sucks

Glad to hear your SO is holding up. Amy was the same for much of this. She was the one to calm me down. Only recently have the roles reversed. As in any relationship, one has to step up to help the other through certain struggles. It's my turn and I certainly don't mind. But it would sure help if VSC gave some approvals so I had some objective data to back up my subjective statements.

I have a feeling today is going to be a good day! Whether it's a wave of approvals for Feb or March, something will happen today. It's Friday! So it has to or we'll have to wait until Monday:( It's good to see that a few Feb filers did get approved yesterday though. Was glad to see that!

This thread has slowed down too! What's up with that? ;)

The weekends normally have a few approvals that get updated... but yes, it sure would be nice to have a bunch today... As for why it is so quiet... I donno, except to say that since we are getting closer and closer to when we should be approved, combined with the slow down at the VSC our collective moods have changed quite a bit for the worse :)

I've been reading and catching up and WOW - a lot of frustration is building up! I guess I have just resigned myself that it will be September before I see anything on our end.....we filed at the end of March so I expect it will take that long to finish catching up and then get to us. I am glad that the people that have been waiting since November and December are finally getting theirs. I don't want to be one of the back-log!!

As happy as I am to be here with Lars, it is going to be AWFUL leaving, I am dreading it already. We are practicing "staying in the moment" - which I need a lot of practice at! Hang in there guys, I know it will be worth it!

03/26/09 : NOA1

09/23/09 : NOA2

11/13/09 : APPROVED and visa in hand!!!

Missy... staying in the moment is such a good thing... I have to practice it 'a lot' myself... but it is worth the effort! Leaving and saying goodbye is always difficult... but.... it will not be very long until you are together again, so remember that.... (this helped me have to say goodbye when we had too) and the truth is... August/September is really not that far away!!

Hugs

I am also really trying hard to stay in the moment. I only have one more week left in Mexico where I have been visiting my SO all summer. Soon I have to go back to the US and wait without him. We really thought we would have gotten the AOS2 in June (like our California counterparts did). We thought we would all be going to the US together sometime in Aug but that is impossible now. I need to make every second count of my time here with him. He just realized today that after the AOS2 there is another long wait ahead. He thought that the AOS2 meant he was going for the interview as soon as he wants. It has been 144 days of waiting and my poor patience has worn thin. Like a few of you said our roles reverse and we support each other because sometimes I am the one that gets anxious. This week it has been him. He is excited and hopful but really ready to get to the US and be with the family. For now ¨living in the moment¨ is our mantra.
