WHAT?????? is that a RFE..... is that an excuse..... is that ...... WHAT ON EARTH IS THAT????? Well, what do you plan to do.... Im sorry I do not know what to make out of it, anyways I think you should call them and ask what exactly is this about, if they do have your case and what are the additional reviews they are making....

Just hang in there and do what you need to do to find out. Our heart is with you Richard.

KataandFreddy

I think it is just a standard form letter... a blanket excuse as to why it is taken more than the 5 month processing time... At least that is the why I am reading it. I can't imagine that there is any real cause for concern, but then, who really knows.

Richard, I was in the car trying to read all of this on my phone and I thought to myself.....F this, I'll just call him and ask him what it's all about and tell him that it's probably a response to his Service Request filed last week.....and then when I hit R for Richard on my phone I remembered.....we don't do that! Sorry.....

This is how much you guys have come to mean to me, I just automatically think about calling you to talk things over. I had to scrap my plans and run home to the computer! I cannot read and type and drive.....no way.

I am so sorry that you got that but I think that this is just a response to your service request. I got one as well and a response to my latest request for expedited processing.

Now, you have been the biggest cheerleader for the rest of us and, when we've been flatter than a blow-up doll after a bachelor party...you've pumped us right back up. Don't you dare get all worried and discouraged! (I mean, you can if you need to but, we really need and want you around here and we'd miss you a lot). I am here for you and I am sure everyone else is too. ((((((HUGS))))))

that is awful .... i'm pretty certain that is what Sarah got caught up in and it lasted 2 years before she got her NOA2.. hopefully it won't take them long and they get your case done as soon as possible....i will pray for a speedy processing and they won't continue to drag on... sheesh one would think all background checks could be completed via computers (automation) and have every one cleared quickly and efficiently... they really know how to make a long process even longer for no apparent reason other then somebody is to freaking lazy to do their job efficiently... err let me stop before i get on a tangent...

sheesh

will keep u in my prayers and hopefully they will take a lot less then 6 months...

Bite your tongue! :)

Thats the we didnt get our job done on time email... But the crappy part is that they throw in the 6 month BS.... Keep hope alive!

sounds like it's the reply to the service referral you made on the phone with NCSC last week. At least they're doing something... Small comfort, I know.

Richard, did you ever hold a security clearance by chance? That slows things down sometimes, I've read.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

No, in fact as a member of FINRA my fingerprints are on file and my record gets checked regularly.

Since I know of no reason that this process will be longer than normal I remain my normal glass runneth over self.

No, in fact as a member of FINRA my fingerprints are on file and my record gets checked regularly.

I wonder if that can cause issues with the background check similar to those encountered by US citizen petitioners who hold security clearances? Perhaps there's a "flag" on your FBI file that would cause FINRA to be alerted if you got in trouble, and that flag requires the USCIS background check to be cleared manually rather than simply returning "No Record."

I have no idea if this is actually the case, mind you; I'm just thinking out loud.

Awesome! Hope things continue to go well!

I guess that is a possibility...

For now, I am taking this letter as the standard form letter they send out when someone falls outside of normal processing. Having said that... Joanna, after reading about Sara and this letter, now thinks we will also be like her... so I have to try to explain that a little more... I will call the congressman's office today, although I think it might be Wednesday before she will have an answer and try to figure it out.
