whats up with all these april NOA2 , why does vsc have to pich MARCH to start doing march/april filers! i tink march ppl have waited long enough!!!!!!!

Young man, where have you been??? We have all wondered what was happening with you guys!! So.....update us! How are things going, anything new? You holding up okay?

I have missed you!!

ive been to depressed to come on here.

we arent officially together but i talk to her once in a while...

she doesnt wanna talk about the visa bc we havent got approved and

she is taken it personal. she said we will talk about it when we get approved and

now VSC is pulling this ####### about doin april filiers before MARCH! :(

she doesnt think we will get approved...

i have it set up so i get an email once we get approved or not and evertime i get

an email on my phone while at work my heart stops for a second bc

i think it may be the email but NOTHING yet!

ive missed u to missy!

ive missed VJ but i hadto stay away for a while...

i hope u understand...

:)

Hey Faith!! sorry to hear that, be a little more patient with your girl, I know she is maybe driving you crazy but we the latinas (not everybody) some times are a litle more drama...lol... like me....lol

Be strong for her, let her know you are there and you care about her and her feelings, even if she is not talking to much, some times when a women don't talk to much is because we rather calm down because if we start talking we can lose the point and scrub everything... so be her lovely man and a strong one...you will see...

God bless you and your girl

Linda

:) im trying to be strong but this is taken a serious toll on her and i... i just want her in my arms again so i can prove

i can protect, love , and cherish her for many many years to come....

thanks linda

Hello folks,

I am sorry that they have not approved all of you wonderful couples. I am a CSC filer, and most of the May 09 filers are getting approved already. At the same time they have moved on to June 09 and I hope they have not forgotten the rest of us. I really hope they finish all your petitions. All of you deserve to be with your SO's asap.

Completely off topic here but I wanted to ask a question. I read in a lot of different forums here on VJ. I read a lot of the different regional threads....I am fascinated by the cultural differences between the different countries and the United States.

My question - do you read any of the other stuff and, if you do, are you ever concerned about what you read? I've been reading about a couple, he's 50ish and she's just 21 and I wonder what will happen to her once she's here. I worry because my children are older than she is and I know my children are NOT ready for marriage or immigration. Just curious if I am the only one that does this. I guess I should quit, right??

Hi Missy! I think part of the answer is in exactly what you mention - the cultural differences between the countries. In the US, adolescence is becoming a longer and longer period in life. Actually, there was no such thing as adolescence before the early 20th century. Not long after reaching puberty, kids were expected to start working on the farm or family business, and that started their adult lives. Then child labor laws came into place and education was mandated for longer periods of time - eventually high school was mandatory, ending at 18 and we came up with 18 as being an adult. Government manufactured adolescence. And today, with more and more kids tied to parents through college (and many living with parents after college), the length is extending.

Depending on the other country, this may or may not be true and it's probably not appropriate to consider a 21-year-old from another country based on the US model. Just my 2 cents.

Amy has to go for a sputum culture - translates into an 8-week wait after it starts (September 4). So earliest interview will be early November. So even those who have yet to get the NOA2 will likely have your SO with you before Amy can get here. At least that's my hope for all of you.

i am just curious, does everyone from the philippines needs to go through sputum culture????

Good morning everyone. It IS a new day and lucky for all of us, I have a full schedule. Office meeting, listing appointments, CE class scheduled. I look at today as my personal mental health day - I am forced to pay attention to other things instead of this. Yay for me!! I hope today is MARCH DAY!!!

i am just curious, does everyone from the philippines needs to go through sputum culture????

Hi MayAndTim. No, not everyone must go through a sputum culture. They told Amy that about 75% do and 25% do not. But based on what I've seen in VJ, that seems high and I doubt it's more than 50/50, and probably much less than that. The medical is a 2-day thing and they will inform the applicant on the second day if the sputum culture is required. I wouldn't get worried. In a way, it's better than an RFE or something where you don't know what timeframe you're looking at. In this, you know it's 8 weeks so once the shock wears off, at least you can start planning some things. The caveat is that if the culture is positive, they have to undergo 6 months of therapy before they're allowed to come to the US. But from what I have seen, well over 90% of those getting the culture are negative.

Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.

I never would have believed my journey to happiness would begin with something called an "I-129F"

03/19/09 - I-129F Sent

03/20/09 - NOA1 (rec'd harcopy 3/26/09)

03/24/09 - Check cleared

03/25/09 - Touched

8/12/09 - Touched (4 hours before NOA2 email)

8/12/09 - NOA2 email received

***Received email at noon (Weds)

***USCIS site did update with the status

***Was 113 on Berkeley list; 156 on VJ list

Well... My March Family... I just got off the phone with the Congressman's office. The letter that I had sent in the other day was forwarded to the head of the USCIS and she did nothing with her liaison to see where things were... So today, I asked her to call and get a detailed status report on exactly where our file was... in a box or on a desk, if it has been assigned an adjudicator or not, if the background check was completed etc... She said that she will call and email her liaison, however, her liaison is out of the office this week so it will be early next week (tuesday or wednesday) before she would expect a response.

Oh well... I guess, I'll cop a squat and wait some more... nothing else to do :)

On the up side... she did say that her liaison can tell her exactly what the status is... things that they would not tell me, they will tell her... so we'll see. stay tuned! :)

its HOT! lol I haven't been posting much but I've been watching....everyone is starting to get a tad cranky with VSC all over the place with approvals. I'm hoping my NOA2 comes here soon too if it doesn't I may not get in for an interview before the end of the year which is ridiculous but with only one consulate in all of Canada I guess thats the best they can do.

I never did quite understand why it takes so long for an interview in such a developed country! I hope that you get yours soon too sweetie! And yes, some of the natives... including me... are getting very very restless and cranky... no doubt
