WE got approved in the morning around 10:15 a.m., you followed us at night around 8:00 p.m. My guess is you will be in the system by tomorrow especially since ur congressman told you your file left NVC on March 6th. The NVC operator told me my file was received on the 6th, I couldn't beleive how fast it got there!! Try again tomorrow :)

BTW, did you know Mayra got approved??? So glad she will be hopping on the NVC Express with us soon!

Steve, I Pm'd you back..its on both you and her. There was a lady who posted her interview experience and the officer said: "I see you got pulled for random AP" so they know its random as well. The officer also had a listing of all the people who had resided at her fiance's former adresses. So that tells me they do a pretty thorough check on both parties.

My thoughs are with you and anything you need (F)

Que,

yaaaay on an interview date.

GS & Sarita,

Im so glad you are at NVC!

Jenn,

Call tomorrow hun. Its best to call before 930..you should get through pretty quickly

Guys,

We do need to have slumber party threads for our family members who have interviews that night. I highly doubt they will be able to sleep knowing that the interview is happening :)

If I forgot anyone Im sorry. YOu know I wish speedy approvals for all :D

Lisa

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Hey guys,

I'm not a K3 filer, and I don't post very often on here on VJ. I've mainly just been doing a whole lot of reading about the experiences of others, and learning as much as I can to try to gain an understanding of this whole process. I'm right at the beginning of my journey. I just got married a few weeks ago, and my husband and I dropped off our I-130 package at the post office a few days later, right before we headed to the airport to say our teary goodbyes to each other, and I reluctantly boarded the plane back home to Canada. So yeah, I'm still really new at this. None of those details are particularly important, it's just a little background.

But basically, what I wanted to say is that I have seen in many of your timelines and signatures the insanely ridiculous amount of time that you guys have had to wait just for the approval of your initial petitions. I can't even pretend to imagine what that must feel like, or how difficult it must be because as I said, my wait has just begun. However, I have noticed how supportive you all are to each other, and how helpful you all seem to be to those of us who are new at this, and I am beyond impressed by that. It strikes me that you all seem to be such strong, strong people, in spite of this process, which seems like it's designed to be more than enough to drag a person down. If I end up in a similar situation months down the road, I only hope that I'll be able to handle myself with as much strength and grace as you guys have displayed.

I'm not sure why it's taken me to the third paragraph here to say what I want to say... I guess I suck at being concise? Anyway... to those of you who were recently approved after such a loooong wait, I want to offer a very sincere and emphatic "CONGRATULATIONS!" I've seen a few approval threads in recent days, and honestly, my reaction has been "holy #######! That is so friggin awesome!! It's about damn time! These people have been waiting waaaay too long." I mean, I don't even know any of you, and yet I'm honestly thrilled that you've finally received good news. And for those of you who are still waiting after all this time, I don't know what to say other than well... one of the 'new kids' is rooting for ya!

I'm not sure why, but I felt the need to say my piece here. Best of luck to you all! You deserve it! :)

Can someone share what phone number I can use to call the NVC? I have a letter dated February 20th that says within a week my case would be forwarded to the consulate (Ukraine). The case # is in the letter ...

After the files get to the Embassy, then they go to an appointment center on Fridays. I called on Wednesday last week but the center didn't have our file yet. I'm assuming it was in the batch the appointment center in Kiev received this last Friday ... but I can't call until tomorrow. The center is closed for International Woman's day.

I just would like to double check that the NVC did in fact send it out ...

P.S. ... Excellent Que

Thanks so much for taking the time to post your kind supportive words

Good Luck on your journey and we're all pretty welcoming. If you want to wait, laugh and get support, join us anytime..you dont have to be a "k-3er" :)

Best of luck and congrats on your new marriage.

Dont worry, you wont wait nearly as long as some of us here, becasue the cr-1 is processed MUCH faster than the K3
