Hello K3 darlings/CR1 followers (including myself by default  hahaha AP solved our dilemma for us) I came across this site and thought some of you might it useful:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3190.html

Jen, anything new? Will u follow CR1 at the same time or completely scratch it once ur K3 leaves for consulate?

Gs,

Please explain, "AP solved our dilemma for us""?

also, thanks for the link I will check it out after dinner.

Guess what Guys-- I called NVC and they have both files, so I got the # for the K3 and the CR1 needs to be enter into system, so they said to give it a few days for the #. Great!!!!! yeaaaaaaaahhhhhhh ;)

Moving along here...let's keep it moving, let's keep it moving.

Jenn, what happened to your files still not there?

I mean since we were torn b/w CR1 and K3 and hubby wanted to do K3 and I felt CR1 is a superior visa and we were worried to do CR1 so as not to delay the getting the visa post interview. So now AP solved our dilemma b/c we can pursue CR1 and see where that gets us since K3 will be stuck at NVC for a while and we will pursue whichever gets to consulate first. Maybe this is the powers that be way of throwing us on the CR1 destiny path (given that we were so hesitant to follow that route...of course we still worry how long will it be till they issue a CR1 visa after my husb passes his interview but we will cross that bridge once we get there) For now, glad at least something is moving and thankful that both files aren't stuck together cz that would have sucked big time!

OMGGGG I am now starvingggggggggggg...can't delay dinner any longer lol

And Jen, ur turn to explain: What do u need a paralegal for? and who told u to get one? Is this something I am missing b/c I am not on FB??

the paralegal helps my attorney.

And I just spoke to the rudest phone rep at NVC and I got nasty back with her and this phone monitor got on the line. They said " WE DO NOT HAVE YOU CASES HERE AT NVC -YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT 90 DAYS"

I can't believe how rude that woman was. UNBELIEVEABLE

Hello my VJ family (F)

Looks like I have some catching up to do. I've been putting in some real long hours the last few days and with the recent AP thing, I really haven't been in the mood to chat much. I'm sorry & hope you understand ...

I want to first send out a {{{HUGE HUG}}} to GS for getting stuck with AP too ... to Jen for the NVC still trying to find your file ... and to Aruba for still dealing with the NVC too ...

Warm Congrats to Sarita, Sonia & Mayra on the progress of your cases  May things continue to go swiftly for you!

A big thank you to Narina, Mary, Que, CW ... and to everyone and their supportive comments about our AP. Ksenia is having a real hard time with this. She is obviously ready to come home and be with me, and this delay is just another painful part of this damn process that is depressing the hell out of us :(

Lisa {{{BIG HUG}}} ... your PM's and input is sincerely appreciated, as our 'experienced' AP VJ member of the group!

Sending you all my best wishes, where ever your case may be. May you soon be in your loved ones arms (L)

Hey chicks and dudes

I thought I would be glued to the tv tonight but LOST is a rerun already

I bigleagued Amman today and sent them an email saying basically: I think the file was received on the 6th and signed for by _____, please advise. :D oh and I asked that if it was there can they please email me the packet contents and interview date.

So, let me catch up here

Jenn,

I hope tomorrow you will be able to get your case numbers. Im sorry you got a rude CSR :( talk about adding to the frustration!

GS & Steve: (F)

Aruba,

How was the medical? Did I miss that? (((Aruba))) <--for your frustration :(

Angel,

prayers for your approval soon :)

anyone else who is waiting for something ((((( your name here))))))

I have our quarterly managment meeting at corporate tomorrow So I will be in hell from 10-2 :dead:

oh ya and  for those moving along! :)

Lisa

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I'm waiting for my REF for stating I got married six months before I was born (6-2-86 instead of 6-2-08). Stupid mistake!!! At least my husband is sending in the contents of the K3 package for Albania this week so hopefully we will get an interview date from that and I can correct the DS-230 when I get the REF. STUPID ME!!!!!!

I hope GS and Steve get through AP lighting fast! If Steve's wife was pulled up for AP it helps me believe that it is in fact random-ish.

On a lighter note I made 4 cheese pasta with diced dried figs and Tuscan herbs for dinner. Yummy! (Cheered me up!)

Mkg that sucks!!! Good thing we have both cases to go back and forth to. Thanks Steve and Lisa :) I have to agree that if Ksenia was put in AP then it's totally random and might I add so unfair! How is it some ppl are in there and others' cases already left for embassy? No offense to anyone whose case did not get stuck, happy for u and it's not ur fault. This whole AP is ridiculous. If it is an issue of security wouldn't it be fair that everyone get checked as opposed to some getting randomly sucked into AP HOLE of Blackness? Either all or no one.

Jen, that woman must have been having a bad day. Try to be nice to them though, u don't want to anger them too much as they hold ur destiny in their hands. You never know who u r dealing with. If you come across another rude person, say thank you and hang up. Then, call back and try to get a nicer rep.

Your welcome GS! It's all good ...

In our case, to my knowledge, our CR1 is NOT in AP. I got the AOS fee paperwork and the DS-3032 form. Ksenia got her's today (mailed back on the 20th of February) It's my understanding the AP is a 'K' visa thing ...

If we don't get somewhere pretty quickly, I might pursue the CR1 ... though I don't have the extra $$$ right now. Additionally, Ksenia already passed her K3 medical and is very opposed to having to go through ANOTHER medical, especially since the CR1 medical involves much more poking and prodding ... and since we already paid $230 for her and Sasha's medical.

Yeah Steve, I understand. This process is tough emotionally and financially. Lucky for us we had paid our lawyer upfront for everything so all we have to pay for right now that's left is the medical and hubby's airfare once we are finally done! I wish that day was visible on the distant horizon!

oh yeah, Mkg I forgot to add: yummyyyyy u always are cooking up some yumminess  I am coming over to ur house

Lisa, sorry abt the rerun. I traded movie for American Idol which I had taped on my DVR from last nite :P

 Jen, funny how u told her u could have walked the files there lol Forget that 4-6 week thing we keep gettin the same for our I130 but we know better from other Vjers. Most get their AOS bill 8 days later. 2-4 weeks...4-6 weeks, yeah right! pffffffttttttt

I know how you feel Steve. My husband has to get the CR1 visa because I paid those fees already and we don't have the money for the AOS needed for the K3.
