I just got approved yesterday so I don't think my files are there yet at the nvc..so I'm, just chilling

Your files should be there by tomorrow or Thursday.

I just called again..... NOTHING.. They said to call back in a few weeks...... ARE THEY JOKING???? my file is probably on the bottom of the pile AGAIN.

I hope I can bypass AP since I waited 8.5 months for them to even look at it.

I wonder why my case isn't even scanned and Sarita's is already on the way to the embassy......

I would say call over and over again. the Automated message is so back logged just talk to an operator.

But i called my embassy today as NVC said they have forwarded my K3 case already to vancouver consulate on march 3. Vancouver consulate said they sent me packet 3 in the mail on March 5 but its already march 10 so ummm... im getting worried my packet 3 got lost(??????)

Oh yeah. what is this AP I am reading about? does everyone go through it

I do talk to an operator. They all say the same thing. CALL BACK IN 2-4 WEEKS. I could walk the file to NH faster than that.

Hi everyone, thanks for the support . AP really sucks and it's only the first few hours. I know I have another 50 days ahead of me most likely. YIKES, it's like I am back in VSC with the watching of the clock. But I won't complain since I am certainly not the last and certainly not the first to go through it. I hope that by some miracle I will call NVC in a couple of weeks and they will tell me Your file is now out of AP and it's been sent to the embassy.

AP= Administrative processing and basically it's a process in which NVC does extra security/background checks on both the applicant, petitioner and sometimes even attorney or sponsors. I started laughing when I read about the attorney getting checked. Now imagine someone getting denied b/c they hired a lawyer. Oh the irony of it all!!

To answer your question, AP is totally random so there is no telling what the numbers are or who might get affected. So far in our group I am the third to be stuck in AP after Lisa and Steve

But I gotta be strong and this part can't be as bad as the first part @ VSCH and if we overcame that, we shall move on with this step as well.

LOL. like wise with my packet 3. I couldve picked it up from my consulate. my work is less than 10 mins from them.

I always ignore the "call back in 2-4 weeks". I ask different questions all the time. haha. even stuff i already read from VJ. its like confirming the info on VJ is correct. I never ask them about time frames. i know i'll get the same answer as you're getting so i rephrase my questions. haha

I think i am driving myself crazy with the whole process. I cant bring myself to go out, have fun and not think about it. it doesnt help that my friends always ask me hows the visa process. ahhhhhh

No actually. The I 130 is not in AP which is interesting. Doesn't make sense whatsoever though. Now here's the irony: We wanted to follow K3, AP is probably going to hold off our K3 for a while ....in the meantime, my lawyer is going to move us ahead with CR1 which might catch up and pass K3 processing. And if that were to happen, what a waste of time, energy and grief K3 has been. My hubby is dead set against CR1 and swears the visa can be delayed for months even after passing the interview. I feel as though we will still be placed in AP even if we followed the CR1 so wow where do we go from here. I still maintain things happen for a reason. So maybe this is destiny's way to let my hubby change his mind and enter with CR1 as opposedd to K3. So all is not lost I guess, at least for now. But now the real headache of the dilemma begins. As for me, at least I can still join u on the NVC journey and feel as though we are moving by following the CR1 route while our K3 gets pulled back out of AP! I wish there was a sure way to know that going the CR1 route will not delay receiving the visa post interview cz if I had a crystal ball, and I had the answer to that question, I would definitely follow the CR1 path and abandon this useless stupid K3! Candid, I will rely on ur stirring since I have no crystall ball lol

My day:

Didn't get home til 2am because NJ transit and the subway were screwy and running local only, no express!

My husband called me and told me I put the wrong marriage date on our DS-230- 6-2-1986 and not 6-2-2008. The DS-230 he checked over and signed in February and I submitted last week.

I bottle of ginger salad dressing fell out of my fridge and attached my last pair of clean work pants.

Can I go back to bed yet?

I just saw! only because someone else quoted it. You guys are doing the CR1 anyway right? It's your 129f that is in AP, correct? So Unless you are persuing the K, this isnt an obsticle honey!

Ok, I should have kept reading instead of knewwjerking and I would have seen that you wanted the K3. Well, here's the silver lining... you will have already had AP, so the chances of post interview AP are hopefully lessened.
