Is the 6 month processing time pretty accurate for the USCIS California Service Center?

I submitted my fiance's I-129F on 12/9/08 and it was received on 12/10/08. I received

the "receipt notice" on 12/12/08. The status is still sitting with USCIS in pending status

and has been since I received the first notice. I am scheduled to go back to Uganda on

3/29/08 to visit my fiance', meet her family, and go through all the pre-wedding parties

with her family and friends there. Any chance that she might be called in for an interview

WHILE I am there? If so, does my being there help the situation and should I go in with

her if that does, in fact, happen?

There may be a good chance that the second notice of action (NOA2) arrives while you're there, but from that point it could be at least 4 to 6 more weeks until she has the interview. That largely depends on when you send in the required forms (varies by Consulate) that are sent by the Consulate to your fiancée in Packet 3.

What information might be requested in Packet 3 (the reason I ask is because I think we submitted some things in advance with the I-129F petition)? By the way - what is an RFE?
