Hmm... for people in real life....

I memorize their face and associate it with their name. It takes awhile, so I always forget people's names.

It works, unless people get a drastic haircut. I will sometimes walk right by a acquaintance/casual friend with a drastic haircut and honestly not recognize them.

I never had turnip like that before... it was orange and for thanksgiving so I assumed it was sweet potato/yam.

Me too! You know how they're best done? Cut 'em in half and drizzle some olive oil on them and a little salt and peppah and broil em in the oven.
