The Vent - Part 2

My wife is mad at me.

Last night she was eating popcorn and telling me the difference between butter and margarine (she prefers butter). Out of nowhere, I said the following: "Wouldn't it be neat if butter was actually made from liposuctioned fat?"

I did something similar to that months ago, as well. She was making an omelet in the morning and without thinking, I said: "You know... you have eggs too."

I think I need to watch what I say more often.

This is a good approach if you are trying to get your wife to cut down on eating! However, it would probably be better if you said it just before she makes this stuff, then you won't waste the food

I was at the Lab this morning, and then later this morning as well. In total, I was stabbed 4 times in an attempt to give my blood. I had three different technicians try. Nothing. No good vein they said. So I'm back at home, drinking a ton of water, in an attempt to plump those pretty veins up!

Ok so this apartment we are living in, our patio runs out to the stairs which are the entrance to this building (grrr)

So periodically people just look in our patio door - People, avert your eyes - you are sooooooo rude!!

I actually waved at one of them.

Oh and the day before yesterday someone actually came up and knocked on the patio door glass - we couldn't see who it was as we had the blinds closed on that side (we now have our desks on that side for some privacy).

So we go - hello? And she moves to the open side and says hi, is Dustin here? Well I don't know who the hell Dustin is, but he isn't here - use the front door you twit.

Same with the maintenance guy the other day, he came to replace some skirting board. Walks right up to our door and says hellloooo - he said, can I come in this way - I said sure - if you take your shoes off lol - I have no idea why I even said that, it's just the first thing that came to mind. So anyway, that backs up the fact that I am not too shy/polite to ask someone to remove their shoes.

He said something like - of course!

i really hate doctors for four months my doctor has been telling me off for my weight gain im keep sayen im not eating that much im always busy finally out of desperation i said do a freaken test for my thyroid

well i got the call this morning wow ur thyroid is really slow acting u need meds

im not a doctor but dang they should listen to people once in awhile instead of just assuming i sit and eat all day

well i am happy that they agreed to test me for it cuz i was hearing things like ur blood pressure is not going down with meds because of your weight gain blah blah blah really made me mental i was doing everything in my power to keep the weight off but everyones weight that they lost seemed to find me lol

thank you, you know i was feeling so defeated nothing fit, shopping forget it i was refusing to go up in sizes anymore so i just would not purchase anything

do u think these stupid doctors know how defeated they make someone feel when they just start in with their blah blah assuming u are eating so much instead of digging for the reason?

Not so much a vent as just ..... ugh, I am sad. I just talked to my best friend from when I lived in GA, and I realized what I realize on and off, is how much I miss all my friends there and living there. I just feel like I need to stay in the New England area right now to be a bit closer to my father. I hate feeling so up in the air about where I want to settle down. Part of me tells me to try to head back to GA, but then I feel a need to stay in NH right now.

I had a similar experience with Yahoo Answers.

Most of the individuals on YA are idiots. If you've visited YA or, God forbid, actually asked a question on there, you'd immediately see what I'm talking about. People on there don't actually answer questions. Instead they often answer in a completely non-nonsensical manner while usually belittling and insulting others. At best you'll receive a response that goes: "I don't know the answer to that. Maybe you should ask someone who does."

To help fix that problem and HELP people out, I joined. Let me emphasize that I actually answered questions seriously (unlike the usual non-related and insulting claptrap that occurs there) and never once broke the TOS.

For my efforts, I was banned and my account was shut down. YA said I could appeal but all that amounted to was an auto-generated response which failed to answer my question. The most I received back was that I somehow "violated the terms of service." What really irritated me was that I couldn't find out how I supposedly did that.

Oddly enough, I could create a new YA account at any time and that makes me wonder WHAT the point is of banning people. If someone can make a new account whenever they feel like it, regardless of how they lost their original account, then policing the network is useless.

I got rid of my Facebook and my Myspace after I found out that my ex-husband and his new wife were following me on both. I had both profiles set as private, but you can still read the status and updates on MySpace, and see who people have for friends on Facebook or contact them. His wife even emailed me through Facebook.

On MySpace I put as my status "Misses her fiance" (it was right after we got engaged and I put that because Sean had that as his status too). Not one day later I get a call from the ex demanding to know who I am engaged to, where he lives, how old is he, what does he do for work, what religion is he, and what do the girls call him . . .

I have since deleted both . . .
