Ooooo I also want to rant and rave!!

I agree with the OP's vent....Toronto should also be doing interviews. Montreal is too damn far for someone that dosn't have a car, or no one to drive me for that matter!! :ranting:

Also - this waiting to even file for the K-1 is killing me. I dont think im going to survive lol :dead:

*~♥*Timeline*♥~*

Summer of 2008 - Met on World of Warcraft aimlessly killing eachother as Blood Elf hunter

and Human warlock at an earlier date, started talking on vent shortly after

2009/03/27 - Met in person!

2009/06/13 - Second meet. We knew then that we wanted to go for the fiance visa

Filing for K-1 at the end of July - the start of the long(But worth it!) journey begins

I kind of wear alot of hats at work. This past week I have been calling members whose accounts are past due. Ever hear a grown man cry over his finances? I did. And there wasn't much I could do about it. Kind of a downer. People don't want to let go of the material stuff. Get rid of the country club membership, get rid of the fancy cars, move to a smaller home.

They don't want to do it though. They are not "accustomed" to live any other way. Sad.

You are born with nothing and you'll die with nothing... What you gain in between is merely an added bonus IMO.

I agree with this wholeheartedly.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

I think the problem is that many, many people live beyond their means. They buy homes, cars, trips that they cannot afford. Something like a club membership is a luxury, and not something to do if you can't afford it!

Yep I see it every day. And sorry but the wives can be pretty harsh and not very understanding. That's the feeling I got from some of them. I am sitting here trying to reason with stressed out men and their wives come walking through the club with their smiles, high expectations and their husbands money.

so

Oh I think the wives are the worse half. They beg, encourage, stomp their feet at these luxeries. When did so many women become like this? I often think that in some ways it's regional. We do have quite a few rich people here in NJ. I'm so turned off by it all. What happened to simple living?

Do I dare vent about a person??? Meh.

So there's someone on my FB who is CONSTANTLY updating her status updates and they are ALL about her daughter... I mean ALL of them.

Today's status updates was particularly hilarious though because she is currently fighting her daughters father in court and this was her update:

"is WHAT THE F@#$%% ... with two sexual assault convictions behind him the judge was considering unsupervised access .... what's wrong with this judicial system ... back in court in November ... simply ridiculous!!!!"

Uhh with all due respect lady, you're the one who slept with him.
