My vent for today! I can't seem to get a decent sleep now a days! This shift work is sure taking its toll on me! Only 3 months left...... I just got off a 5 night rotation and I am exhausted...the 4 days I had off prior did not feel like any days off as I had so much to do with wedding planning! Now that I am on days off again I can't even relax! Woke up @ 4:30 am and could not fall back asleep! Fell asleep @ 12 am. Was tired this afternoon, tried to nap, as soon as my head hit the pillow....wide AWAKE!

try taking 5HTP, extra calcium and magnesium and valerian. You can take all together and they definitely help with sleep issues.

I was the worst when I bought my yaris! The guy said 300.00 a month and I thought it sounded good so I was like: "OKAY!"

And then my husband kicked me in the leg under the table.

I didn't know the game at all! We talked him down though.

I am a salesmans wet dream.

I am a big ol dork because I REALLY enjoyed buying my car. This was a Civic I bought new when I moved to CA in 1998. I had done a lot of research and knew exactly what I was willing to pay for my car. I was 23 and looked a bit younger. My mom was with me, and the salesperson kept trying to talk to her, and I kept redirecting it back to me. Then the salesperson finally gave up because she couldn't influence me at all and I wouldn't budge on anything, so she went to get her boss to "see if she could work me a deal". Basically, she sent this big burly guy over to try to intimidate me. My mom loves telling the story of how this guy loomed over me and asked, Do you really expect me to sell you the car for that price?, thinking he would back me down. I just replied, yes, and sat there matter-of-factly. My mom said the look on his face was priceless.

My current vehicle (Nissan Xterra which I LOVE!) ... my stepfather got it at an auto auction. I told him what I wanted and how much I would pay, so he found the vehicle. I was sad I didn't get to negotiate

I don't know if it's the crappy economy or what but sales calls have been coming in to our office like no tomorrow. It is really annoying. It is our protocol to try to get the name and number of the person on the other line and then pass it on to the person they are trying to call. I have even been guilty of saying that I wasn't here and pretending I was someone else. But it's hard when someone is trying to sell you something and the answer is always going to be 'no'

Just right now someone called asking who is in charge of our staffing. I said: "Can I get your name and number and I'll get them to call you back?"

Then they said: "Well... what would the name be?"

To which I replied: "Can I get your name and number and I'll get them to call you back?"

And then they said: "Who is your general manager?"

And again I said: "Can I get your name and number and I'll get them to call you back?"

They finally said: "Is it still Mr. Cooadd?"

They pronounced his last name wrong and I said as slowly as I could:

"Can I get your name and number and I'll get them to call you back?"

Finally she gave me the number and slammed down the phone.

Really? I mean you're trying to sell us a service? Just give me your damn phone number and name and I will make sure it gets to the right person. I don't know why that got me so frazzled either, but it did.

*sigh* feels good to vent.

Honestly.. I'm SO sick of the office supplies companies calling.. WHAT IS IT WITH THEM?

Now the cool thing in the biz is to keep swaping out your account managers, so that you get various calls all the time from them tell you.. so and so is not your account manager any more.. I AM.. so here's all the cool features of your current account.. DUH I know all that already.. and when you decide to do great pricing I will order from you and not before..

I've told people who call my house that I have moved

I seem to recall a time (or two) telling someone "She's dead."

So the guy who called today.. he HUNG UP ON ME mid call... FIRST you waste my time with a cold call.. THEN you hang up on me!! He called back.. I didn't answer my phone.. and he just called again.. can you say harassment?

Maybe he hung up by accident?

Well I had posted my resume on Monster, Yahoojobs, etc. and I just took them off. I am getting some REALLY wierd calls from strange men, I kid you not! Obviously my phone number and address is on there, so I don't want to be creeped out anymore.
