oh ok thats not too bad, so hopefully i will get something by email tomorrow! hopefully! all this waiting is painful.. hopefully our date wont be too long away... when you get your date, are you able to request an earlier date if possible? does it come with that option in p4... i have seen someone else somewhere on this site request one i think..

There isn't an option to change or elect a interview date in packet 4, but as said in that thread above, the consulate is very helpful, email them and ask. For instance, my NOA1 & NOA2 forms had my surname spelt wrong. I emailed them about it, and attached of NOA1 & 2, and also the original I-129f to show it had been spelt correctly on the original forms, and i got an answer back the next day saying they would handle and fix everything for me.

Did you get into contact with Dr. Millar? I had the same thing on my forms, but have since completed all my shots with my local GP who has kindly given me a medical certificate stating the shots I was given, the dates i had them and certifying that I am now up to date

Heya, I am planning to call them tomorrow after my 2nd chicken pox shot, so that I can update Dr. Millar that I did it and if they want me to send any additinal documents to them etc...I'll update you about it tomorrow

Hi just an update, I called Dr. Millar and the lady there said to just bring with me the evidence of the 2nd shot from my GP to the US, so there's no need for them to update the vaccination form they gave us...I asked if she can give me a copy of the vaccination form to bring to the US, since what I have are photocopies, and she said photocopies are fine.

Awesome, thanks for the update Well I'll take the photocopies I have (I made copies of the whole report, no just the pages they gave me) and the two certificates showing my shots are completed and hopefully I wont have any problems

Have a read of the AOS thread in my signature. it should tell you everything you need to know (outside of completing forms but the "example forms" will help with that) or if you need more specific help just PM me if you like. I usually check this a couple of times a day

You'll do fine. Once you get started you'll wonder what you were so worried about.

I sent my package into the consulate on 11 april, and got an email with the appointment date on the 18th... from there, my interview was scheduled for 17 May.

and y visa arrived in the mail today!!!

hey mate.. yessss, today i heard something around lunch time! so exciting and nervous now haha... got it for the 14th of June at 8am, which kind of sucks in time, so i have booked a cheap hotel for the night as its abit of a tight squeeze for time if i was to fly in!.. so excited now.. now confused about what they are saying about what to do with a couple of things, the photo thing, saying its not your typical passport photo.. what the? where do i get these other ones taken? and with the payment for the post office, what do i show them when im trying to pay for the visa thing...? do i tell them a code or what?? sorry about the questions, i will try and look into it more.. but yeh so excited my head is racing! haha

Ok.... passport photos have to be us passport size, the 2x" square size same as you would have used for your medical. I did google search for mine and discovered the photo lab in the bottom of the mlc centre under the consulate does them, otherwise maybe try google too (depending on what time you arrive in sydney.

As for the payment, I went to the counter and told them I needed to pay the fees for a k-1 visa for the us consulate and they knew what to do. I had printed out this page for reference, just incase I needed it but they knew what I was talking about anyway. They will give you a little slip of thermal paper as a receipt with a unique reference number on it. Don't loose this, as the consulate will only accept the original.

Don't be sorry for asking questions... we are all here t give & receive help Congrats on getting the email today too I received my visa in the mail th other day too, so tickets are all booked and paid now

Just done a quick google search, michaels camera & video claim on their website here to do US specification passport photos, couldn't remember where you were located, but heres some hone numbers for them anyways...

thanks mate.. i will be in sydney the afternoon before... ah could get one at the mlc the afternoon before hand.. hopefully.. from what i got told at the post office awhile ago was that the passport sizes for each country were the same size and the photos i used for my medical were normal passport sizes.. so yehhhhh..

ok ill go to the post office tomorrow most probably and pay the fee.. cheers heaps for the help... so nerve racking all this now that its finally happening haha.. good luck on your journey over there.. keep in touch mate
