As far as I was aware, I only needed to start the courses and they didn't need to be completed? This is from the technical instructions for civil surgeons on the CDC website:

Also, I think (if memory serves me correctly) from the info I was given by my gp, the second Varicella shot was 6 mth's after the first one, so with my current time line I'll be over there by then. So if I end up having to get it, it will be mega-expensive :angry:

You need to be current at the time of filing. For K1 you're current and they can't make you wait to get the next shot. For AOS, you need to be up to date and if that second shot is due you'll need to have had it.

Here: http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/recs/schedules/downloads/adult/mmwr-adult-schedule.pdf page 3, #3 says

Evidence of immunity to varicella in adults includes any of the following: 1) documentation of 2 doses of varicella vaccine at least 4 weeks apart;
so it looks like you should be able to get the next varicella shot before you leave. You will DEFINITELY be RFE'd for this if you don't get it done (and an I-693 transcription) when you AOS.

I did a quick google and here: http://children.webmd.com/vaccines/chickenpox-varicella-vaccine?page=2 for instance is talks about babies but when it mentions older kids and adults it says that they should have "2 shots 4-6 weeks apart" but that's a US link so I found THIS page in Australia: http://www.health.vic.gov.au/immunisation/fact-sheets/factsheets/chickenpox_vaccination from the Health page (so you can print it to show your doc in case he qns giving you the second shot) it says:

People aged 14 years and older require two doses of the chickenpox vaccine, one to two months apart.

So get that second shot before you leave and remember to bring IT and your DS-3025 copy (from the panel physician) over and see a CS to get the transcription done.

Yep, the stuff on DSL-1076 needs to all be sent, except for the things that don't apply... yeah, if the military one doesnt apply, tick the not applicable box. For documents where it doesn't specify original or copy only (ie: police certificates) you need to send them the original *and* a photocopy. don't forget all the other forms too, DS-230; DS-156 (two copies); ds-156k; DSL-1076.

By the time you get your interview letter, all you should need is your passport, visa issuance fee receipt, 3kg express post bag, and your evidence of a ongoing relationship.

When you get P3 first thing you do is send the DS-230 off. If you have the P3 stuff ready when you get P3 then you can send the DS-230 with all the 1076 stuff. In your case you mention still waiting on the police check so first you'll send the DS-230 and then when you get ALL the evidence listed on the 1076 that applies to you you send that off. Not long after that (maybe a week at most) you'll get P4 that tells you your interview date and time. If evidence doesn't apply to you tick the "does not apply" box but as stated above usually original AND photocopy is required unless the box is not able to be ticked (such as the photocopy box for the medical).

NO! You ONLY send the DS-230. the DS-156 etc gets sent with EVERYTHING on the 1076. You don't send it in bits and pieces. DS-230 first, then EVERYTHING on the 1076 that you need to send, at once.. especially because it says you need to send the checklist with the documents. SO, DS-230 first THEN send the 1076 and everything on that checklist when you have everything.
