Hi all:

I was just reviewing the 129F step by-step instruction on Visa Journey - (of course, after the fact) and found 3 items i didn't do exactly right.

1. #18 - I just put a sentence in the box saying we met over Christmas there. I did NOT attach a whole other single-typed separate sheet, signed and dated.....

2. Passport photos..I DID put the our names on the back..but I did NOT put in a separate baggie, did NOT label the baggie, and did NOT insert the baggie on a sheet of paper between the G325As..... The passport photos were just simply paper-clipped to the G325A.

3. Evidence - Photos together-- I did not write the date, location, and names on the back and did NOT put them in a baggie, and did NOT label the baggie. The photos were just in their Costco packet and in the front of the folder

Am i doomed????????

01/21/10 - AOS Approved

01/19/10 - EAD Card Received

01/16/10 - AP received

11/18/09 - AOS - NOA1

No, you are not doomed. We hadn't found this site when we first submitted either.

1. I just wrote the sentence too

2. Same

3. I didn't date, location the photos either :/

We are in the same boat, i didn't find this site until after the fact. If we get slapped with a RFE and send it in, would they restart the process? Or would it get put at the front of the line or something?

Like you, I found VJ after sending in the petition.

#1 - The sentence is fine

#2 - I didn't baggy/paper clip the photos to the G-325 at all - I just put them in this sleeve where there was room for two passport photos.

#3 - I did label and date the regular photos, but just put them in the package, no baggy, etc.

I got my NOA2 approval 2/19. You should be fine. Even if they send you an RFE, there will maybe be a 30-45 day turn around, usually less. They do not start over or deny you right on the spot if you forget something. I didn't even have a letter of intent signed from my fiance and we got approved. It all depends on the adjudicator, but you should be OK. Again, if not, just send them exactly what they request on the RFE and you'll be fine.

Try not to drive yourself crazy over it. Most of us have made some sort of mistake, some have gotten a RFE some not. As others have said, it all depends on your adjudicator.

I know it's hard not to stress over every single detail you think you might have got wrong, especially during the first month of waiting but it gets better. You'll either get a RFE or not and if you do, you'll deal with it if and when it arrives. If you think you might get a RFE, have those items ready for send off as soon as you receive the paper copy but we got our RFE for something completely different to what we thought we'd get it for. You'll just have to wait and see.

I wish you a RFE free life and a speedy and smooth visa journey.

2 and 3 won't matter. That is for ####### retentive people on VJ, it is NOT in the instructions and since they put the package in their own order anyways, it doesn't matter. Photos don't count as primary evidence of meeting, so as long as you included other stuff, you will be fine with that. #1 will probably depend on the adjudicator. You followed the directions, but if they want/need more then they may ask.

Sounds pretty similar to what I did and I got approved. As long as the forms are clear and you included some evidence of meeting you should be fine. But like others said be prepared for an RFE just in case that way you can turn it around quick.

Don't drive yourself crazy over it. We made some mistakes on our original petition and then again on our AOS package. We never got an RFE. I guess it all depends on the mood of your adjudicator.

We did the same thing with the sentence on saying how we met, so as long as you sent in your proof of relationship, you should be ok.

Good luck!

1. Might be OK, depends on the sentence. I used TWO sentences and could not wuite fit it in, but maybe with more concise wordong you will be OK. Depends on evidence

2. No problem, provided the photos aren't damaged or lost

3. Again no problem. I sent one photo as evidence, no date stamp, no description, no identifiable location (exactly the photo on my profile page if you are curious) Provided your photos are intact and they feel it is enough evidence of meeting. This will be an adjudication offier judgement call.

No you arent "doomed". There is no law in how you put the packet together as long as you include all the important items.

For you first issue. As long as you state simply how you met it doesnt have to be on a seperate paper. I didnt have a seperate sheet and my habibi is here.

Good luck on your journey
