Hi everyone... Situation in brief is:

I-130 approved, then the case was sent to NVC, i paid the 70 dollar fee online and it was accepted and shortly afterward my husband received and promptly mailed the CHOICE OF AGENT papers indicating me as the AGENT about 3 weeks ago... soooo i'm just checking in here to see if i am supposed to send in the affidavit of support papers and such on my own like NOW????:bonk: OR -- do i have to wait until the NVC sends me something via US MAIL? I think the CHOICE OF AGENT papers said that the NVC would send me something in 4-6 weeks but can't i get all that online and send it already? ANY advice from those of you who've already BEEN THERE/DONE THAT would be SUPER !:star:

If your AOS payment has been accepted, you can print out the barcode coversheet, and send in your AOS package.

IF you choice of agent has been accepted, call NVC and see if they have generated and sent your IV bill, if they have pay that. Once that payment is accepted you can print out the IV bar code coversheet and then send in the DS-230 package.

You should read the LingChe shortcuts to NVC posted in the VJ Wiki, so you can get through NVC quickly.

Good Luck!!

Thank you both for answering my question!! :-) I am actually finding my optimism again!! I was so used to the depressingly endless waiting of USCIS and the I-130 stuffs! I cant believe that the time is actually so much closer to have my husband here with me! YAY!

Oh... i have another lil' question if anyone is still hanging around VJ.... if the website where i paid the $ 70 AOS fee now shows that its possible to pay the IV Application Fee .... can i like go ahead and do that? I'm near to assuming i can.... i just feel scared that anything i do or assume will mess up the "process" and make for delays... i've become so paranoid when it comes to this stuff! I just want everything to go perfectly! :content:

Thanks again everyone! :star:

As per my earlier post, before you pay the bill, call NVC and speak to an operator to ensure the IV bill has been generated, if it has go ahead and pay it, if the operator cannot confirm wait until an operator can.

If you pay bills or send packages to NVC before requested, it will cause a delay in your case.
