Good Morning all!

Congrats on the license S&S!

This weekend is meet the family weekend for me. I've met my Mom and Pop in law, but now the siblings are coming in. Little nervous, but it's about dang time!

Jeanne, I had a heck of a time explaining to my Dad and his wife about your not changing time. I tried to tell them they're in pacific standard in the summer and mountain in the winter. The wife looked all confused and argued, but we're always in Mountain time. I said, well, maybe it will help this way...... The whole pacific coast changes to AZ time in the summer. Some how she understood that.

Hey guys! Had a few minutes of internet time. My son had his last basketball game, pizza party and awards ceremony today. They won and were really excited. Tonight we are going to the local high school play to see "A Groovy Cinderella".

Good morning everyone! Happy Saturday to all. We are one of the few states that doesn't set their clocks ahead or back.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday and a wonderful weekend.

I was listening to a piece on npr yesterday and they said in the 1950's there was a point where individual towns/cities were able to decide whether or not they'd do daylight savings time. He described that in a 35 minute drive you'd have to change your clock 7 times in order to stay on the correct time since some towns would do it, others wouldn't and some would do it on a different date than the others. And I thought WE had it confusing just keeping up with when Egypt does it and when Massachusetts does it! LOL

I love high school plays!!! Megan was in the fall Middle School play and it was hysterical! I couldn't find the play anywhere on the internet, it was called Baseball, and some of the kids have such potential to be brilliant actors! The spring Middle School play is Beauty and the Beast and she wanted to try out for the part of "Chip" but she got too timid about actually singing in front of others because she recorded herself and found that she's off-key a lot. I felt so bad because she really loves the drama club so she's thinking of being a stagehand.

Not much going on. Usama's working a double so I won't see him until around midnight. :( I don't see him much anymore but 3 more weeks and he's done with school so I'll just have to hang in there. Totally beautiful weather here, in the 50's!!! I have all the windows open and am mustering up some energy so I can mop the floors and change everyones bed linens.

I'm finally done with all my doctor things thank God! What everyone has deterimined that I have is fibromyalgia. I didn't know much about it until this past week and now I'm researching it like crazy. My pcp actually doesn't think it's a real disease so I fired him and am seeing someone new in a few weeks but my Rheumatologist is working with my Psychiatrist and the plan is to start on Cymbalta, start water therapy and start acupuncture. I'm so excited to actually have a plan to get better!!! The acupuncture isn't covered by insurance so although I'm getting a discount it's still like $86 for the first visit and $64/visit thereafter so not too sure if I'm going to keep that up. Once he starts his new job, wherever it is, he'll have a more steady income since he won't be relying on tips so maybe I'll be able to do it for a while but we'll see if it even helps.

Anyways gotta go internet shopping! Emily turns 13 and Megan turns 12 in April so my family chipped in and I'm going to get them both their each laptop. Have a good one!

Bridget, the play was fantastic. Such a twist on it and it had some great 70's music. The kids really showed so much talent. The costumes were awesome too. My two kids loved it and of course they liked the intermission snacks. I can't see either one of my kids doing the drama thing though. They are much too shy.

S and S...I forgot to tell you earlier congratulations on your hubby getting his license. That is a big accomplishment.

Oh Henna...I so need a pedi. I think I will try and get one next week before my hubby comes home. I don't want him thinking he is sleeping with sand paper

Thanks I appreciate it. I thought I was relieved when I got my license at 16, but my husband getting his yesterday was an even bigger relief. You know how hard it is while they are totally dependent on you for transportation. I just have to get him confident enough to drive on his own, but one step at a time, lol.

S and S

didnt he have to get the learner's permit first? that usually is for 6 months prior to the actual license.

My husband has to get the permit first, after passing the written exam. 6 months driving practice with me :P then he has to have the

driver's test.

Well, I can relate about not having hubby relying so much for transportation. Although I cant be without my car at all. Hubby doesnt know his way around anyway. I have to pick him up after every night that he works and it is late like MIDNIGHT.

Even if he could drive, during the week he leaves before I get home from work. The weekends, I am not leaving my car when I have to get too much done and have fun.

He does take public transit when he can but I guess I am still making things easy by picking up in the night and driving him there on Sat/Suns.

It takes me 30 mins there and back. The public transportation becomes less available after MID that is why I worry about how he can get home but it is taking it's toll on the wallet and my sleep

Yes, very familiar with this. Our problem now we are facing is that we have only one car for awhile. It stresses me out thinking about it. He will be on the search again for a job the end of next week. I pray it all works out.

Sandrilla...my hubby just had to get his permit long enough to take the drivers exam. He ended up having it for about 3 months. He has only drove a few places by himself though. I'm afraid he will get lost  Even with the GPS...
