Guess what guyssssssssssssssssssssss?   My fiance got approved!!!

unfortunately, i dont know if i shld be really happy or not..seeing that it is approved pending police clearance.

Apparently, there will be a courier service sent to ur house to obtain the police clearance and ur passport. So, hopefully he gets his clearance soon.

So, about the interview as far as my fiance had told me..HE WAS DRILLED!!! nice lady but drilled him with questions..and also arrested at the end!!!! Yea the story gets interesting..so i figured all you guys might want to read.

Oh my goodness Thayani!!!!! What a scare for both of you!!!!! Thank goodness he had done his research and had applied for the extension !! At least that whole process has been finished now and you are not far from being together again. We hope that you dont have to wait too much longer for the police clearance.

Thayani: I hope that's the worst experience you have to go through during this process, there's a lot about that, that is shocking (not just the police incident but the 3 years with only an hour together? I'd think after that question the interviewer would go into hard core grilling mode).

Wow I have missed alot of action in here the last couple of days, apparently VJ has taken to not emailing me with when posts are happening... again...

Just wanted to let you all know that we still have no news, I arrived back into the USA on Tuesday, was a very long plane flight followed by a rather long boarder entry. Took me a total of nearly 2 hours to clear security and customs. Though I'll admit I explained the whole situation to both (boarder security and customs) and at that point they were both very understanding and ironically wished me luck.... apparently even the boarder security understands that USCIS has done wrong by us.... I am grateful that they let me through though, with my stash of stuff that I brought over in my suitcases (Thank god they didn't look in there i would have looked like i planned to stay for good...) and have been cleared to stay till November 2nd. At this stage my ticket home is for October 27th. However depending on this visa rubbish, the likelihood is that I will move it and head back at the end of september to enable me to be back here for good come Thanksgiving.

Our lawyer was out of the office at the end of last week, so we are still waiting to hear from USCIS, the 30 days they handed down should expire on the 18th so hopefully we will hear something positive this week.... but we will wait and see, the 16th is our year anniversary of filing so I really would like to not pass that without an NOA2 but hey they chances are it's going to happen that way.

Congrats to everyone who has had good news of visa approvals, NOA2's in massive amounts and GC's, Thayani I am so sorry that your Fiance got treated terribly, but glad that everything pulled through fine. I think that means I am the last one left waiting for this process to in essence start, but hey not much you can do about that. Has anyone heard if poor Marm's fiance got the visa in hand yet?

Hey Mara! (F)(F)(F)

Even though I don't post in this topic, I read it everyday and am looking forward to hearing good news from your side ASAP! I hope this week is our week! My fiance still has not received his visa in hand yet, he has been in AP for the past 3 months. Thank you so much for keeping us in your thoughts! I hope this week is THE ONE for both of us!

Yo Mal, how long did your biometrics appointment take?

Sorry for the slow response, the biometrics itself was about 10 minutes or so... we went to the building, did a quick security screening (that's done for all federal buildings now) and went into a room with about 30+ chairs... none of which were in use... we saw another lady came in while we were there but I think they might have been having a slow day...

Of course, if you want to count the travel and everything else involved, it's 4 hours to get there and 4 hours back, plus we had to hang around STL for 8 hours and see some sites, too bad it was cold and a little rainy that day.

I mailed in my I-129F on August 2, they cashed the check on the 4th. Now we wait...

We are so excited! My GF works in China, and I am flying to see her again in Oct. Last time we met up was to visit some of her family in Ireland. It was a nice excuse to see the Emerald Isle, anyway.

We are hoping for an interview during her winter break from teaching, when she can fly to Manila (Jan. to first half of Feb.).

I love this place!

Bruce
