I'm doing well, just a little bit under the weather...have had trouble sleeping the past couple of nights....

I have to make a bunch of photocopies today, and that should get me to very close to finishing the relationship proof stuff.

Hey Gang, just got caught up with everyone...Ever and I met in China for a week while I attended a conference. Gonna see her again this next weekend for 2 weeks in the Philippines...

OK update: You know it was not until April 10th that NVC finally took care of the payment problem (paying online before they sent the NVC bill in the mail). What a mess. Anyway, I hope it still will allow us to flip our May 11th K-3 interview to the CR1 interview. NOW the automated voice system says CASE COMPLETE and I hope that when I call NVC tomorrow they can give me the interview date.

Cheers,

EricN

Morning NVCers,

Ours is saying we received ur biographic forms on April 2nd but the NVC is waiting for ur AOS bill and packet. :bonk: Stupid AVR is soooooooooo messed up. We paid our AOS and IV bill together and the website says so and we sent in both cover pages all in the same envelope. I have stopped paying the AVR any attention especially since many operators said to ignore it and it's not always updated.

New week, let's see if we will have any luck. Me personally I am not holding my breath, especially since we haven't even been told we are in final review. I see most VJers getting stuck in final review for another 5 days or so. So I don't believe I will have case complete till next week anways....

My attorney got two notices of approval for the I-130 also. Very strange !!! My K-3 interview is the 24th .... and they have no record of me? They need some serious revamping. The process ends up being way harder than it has to be.....

The Automated system does not get updated for the K-3 case, because NVC only receives that case, assigns a case number, and forwards it to the embassy. No need to worry about the AVR for K-3!!!

For those waiting to see if you can flip your interview dates (CR1 for K3). Today when I called NVC they told me that since we missed the April interview scheduling date, we would have to call the Embassy and ask them to request from NVC for our CR1 package. If they are willing to do this then it is still possible that we can utilize our May 11th K3 interview date. Otherwise we are looking at a 4 - 8 week delay.

So, I noticed that the IV Fee Bill was available for us to pay today on the online system, so I paid it around 2:15 this afternoon. It said "IN PROCESS". I did not receive the IV Fee Agent Letter in my e-mail until around 8:00 tonight. The online payment site now says that the IV Fee was "NOT PAID".

And now I am worried. I have read horror stories about people who paid the IV Fee Bill before the letter was generated, but I got so excited when I noticed that it was available... and I didn't even think twice about it until after it was submitted.

I really really really hope this doesn't delay us for a billion days. We are on a major time crunch here!

Congratulations, Seren!

What exactly happened with your IV Bill? I vaguely remember reading about the problem you were having, but I couldn't find it on here.

Did you pay it too early? I think we did and now I am sort of in a state of panic... :help:

Quick question for those of you who have already filed the DS-230...

Were you required to also submit the original (or certified copy) of the petitioner's birth certificate? I am finding mixed responses, and I want to know so I can order a certified copy of my birth certificate before the IV Bill is paid... so we are all ready to go.

Thanks!
