The NVC website is outdated. When your payment status for the IV and AOS Bills shows as paid, ask an NVC operator to confirm that it is paid, sometimes they will even tell you that they are waiting on your AOS and DS-230 packages. You can then ask the NVC operator if it is ok to send in the AOS and DS-230 packages, as you are now able to print out the barcoded coversheets. That is what I did in my case, and it was no issue at all.

For what it's worth, I started a new topic about this. Anyone in the same situation or knows how to go around this,

I was wondering how is it that most VJers are sending in AOS and IV packets and it tells us on the online instructions to not proceed without NVC authorization. Do you think that is outdated information on their website prior to going green? My lawyer is dead set against sending anything until NVC gives the green light. I tried to tell him an operator told me NVC won't send an OK to proceed and that he needs to send our packet in as long as he's got the cover sheet (which he does!!). He keeps saying we need to wait for a list of things NVC needs. I am trying to tell him "No we don't, it's all online as per the instructions". I think he's got it twisted according to the old system. January and February NVC case completes, please chime in as your expertise is highly valued. Did you guys get a list of things to send and the OK to proceed from NVC in the mail? MOST CURRENT MARCH NVC CASE COMPLETES (who were there during the switch to email) any ideas?

hmmmmm just out of curiousity... is your lawyer an IMMIGRATION lawyer? Immigration lawyers are suppose to keep up with the new stuff. They get news letters and updates from USCIS. Did you research him and see what his success rate is? IMO, if they practice other kinds of law along with immigration and they don't do a ton of immigration stuff, they may not be aware of new proceedures. Also, the lawyers aren't calling and bugging the NVC like we do. The reps who answer the phone are only reps. You can call 15 times and get 15 different reps and they will probably have 15 different answers for you.

throw some Karma stars at your lawyer. Make him eat them if he won't do what you want...

Once the AOS bill showed paid and I had confirmation for NVC I mailed out my DS3032 and AOS package.

DS3032 was rec'd yesterday and AOS today @ NVC.

Hopefully both will be accepted before weeks end or is that asking for too much?

Everytime I have needed an immigration q answered I was told pay 300/400 and I will research it further. Well, Q answered more qs than he ever did and all I owe him is a case of beer

So Seren, what do u mean by confirmation? Is the cover sheet the confirmation or is it an operator confirming it shows paid in their system? If you have ur covers sheets and receipt showing it was paid, is that confirmation enough?

It's the cover sheet. It CANNOT be generated by you until their system shows PAID!

If you have not prepaid your lawyer, dump him and go buy an new computer with the money you save. Everyone on this site (not me) are 10x more valuable because they are living and breathing this 23.5 hours a day (everyone deserves a little sleep!). Read the LingChe shortcut. Thanks EricN I HAVE read them!! Over and over again but never saw anything about this new system. In fact the guide is dated October '08 and this email thing is fairly new Feb/March '09. Trust me I have been breathing this 23.5 hrs a day with the other 0.5 dreaming about the process in my sleep (or whatever's left of it) I totally agree that people on this site are very knowledgeable. Finally got my lawyer to jump on board and disregard the online warnings. So I can destress for a little bit. Can't wait to be completely out of NVC w/ no RFEs. Still not totally out of the woods. Keeping our fingers and toes crossed all the way!

I just got off the phone from NVC and was told they need the original Signature on the DS 2032 to generate IV bill.

My DS3032 was rec'd 03/23/09 at NVC and the rep told me it takes them about 5 days to process choice of agent.

Hopefully by Friday.

Do not resend the e-mail if you already received the automatic NVC respond. One of the NVC's operator told me that everytime you send an e-mail you get a new place omn a list. So if you keep send the e-mail you will just delays you. The only advice I will give you is to send the DS-3032 by mail too.
