QUESTION: i am confused

Is the AOS fee bill sent the same time as the DS3032?

b/c i got my ds3032 by email and they got it the next business day in the mail. I am waiting for my AOS bill but i thought they come it at the same time. One of the rep said ds3032 has to be received to generate the AOS bill. i called a second time and another rep said I shouldve received the AOS bill with the ds3032. So she said she sent a note to the supervisor to email me the AOS fee bill asap. Im so confused. sheesh.

AOS BIll and DS-3032 are generated at the same time.

Once you pay the AOS Bill and the status is paid, you can submit the I-864 package.

Once the DS-3032 is accepted, the IV bill is generated, once the IV bill is Paid and the status is Paid, you can submit the DS-230 package.

The AOS and DS-230 tracks work in parallel at NVC.

Good Luck!!!

thanks QUE. That's crystal clear.

I cant believe it..... i lost a couple of days. this sucks! i'm totally going to put a move on NVC.

At this point, you should try to get your case complete ASAP, so that you will receive an early May interview date.

With NVC, do not pay anything unless the bills have been generated, and can be confirmed by an operator. Do not send any document until the status of the bills can be confirmed by an operator. Lastly, don't send them any additional documents outside of the two packages, unless specifically asked for by the NVC. Otherwise it will delay your case.

Ok will do. Im trying to get this over and done with. A May interview is what I'm hoping for but my cr1 interview is at Montreal and im in Vancouver. so who knows. A june interview would be ok too. At this point, i've lost my patience with waiting so either K3 or CR1 would be fine whichever goes fast. unless the interviews are a month away from each other then i would go with CR1.

ya im babbling. im going to stop now

Cool!! Its a tough decision in terms of which one to go after CR1 or K-3. The only thing to watch out for is that if you follow the CR-1, and pay the fees, you will lose that money if you end up doing the K-3. The fees for the K-3 are different then the fees for the CR-1 that are paid at NVC.

Which document are you creating the barcode for?

If you are doing it for the DS-3032, don't bother and just get the email template ready. As per JAVC's post, you should be getting the DS-3032 in your email, so have your husband print, fill it out, and mail it to you. By the time you get the hard copy in the mail, NVC should have accepted your DS-3032 email.

I decided to bite the bullet and go down cr-1 for three reasons:

1. My wife needed some time to finish her exams

2. I really didn't want to go through the Adjustment of Status process through USCIS again, and have to potentially do a second interview.

3. For the extra money that it costs to do the K-3 and get the greencard, that is almost a roundtrip ticket for me to visit the wife :)

You can submit the DS-3032 and have the IV bill generated, and then decide if you want to continue the CR-1 or not. No harm in submitting just the DS-3032.

These are the bills for the DS-230 and I-864?? You can only create the I-864 bill, and creating it is not worth it, because if you pay by check or money order, it will take NVC 2 weeks or more to process the payments. Pay the bills online.
