We talked for the first time April 3, 2008.

Met in person on June 5, 2008.

Got Married June 19, 2008. :star: :star:

We did not have an engagement. We talked quite a bit on the phone before we met and after we met we thought to just tie the knot.

Will we have issues with the interview for her k3.

has anyone heard anything or had similar experience?? please share.....

CR-1 seems to be better (faster) than K-3 from what I read here on VJ.

You should read through the Asia:South regional forum to learn from others going through your embassy/consulate.

Best of luck.

There are similar stories and just recently one was approved, interviewd and given the visa..it just depends I guess

You probably wont have ANY issues with the uscis approval. its the interview that you shoud be well prepared with tons of eveidence of a bonofide marriage.

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Piscesgirl--- What is FPU?? I have gone over to india to spend time with my wife since our marriage...acutally have spent 45 days with her there, including taking a vacation with her overseas(singapore, thailand, malaysasia)

I will be there for her interview but I thought that you cannot go into the interview with your spouse?

FPU - Fraud Protection Unit. It really depends on ur CO. my husband was not with me during my interview he is in the states and he has limited time for vacation. and we thought that all the proofs that we have is already enough.

Eventhough u cant get inside while she's having her interview as long as the CO knows ur there outside it's a big plus.
