I'm a Corner Gas noob, I have rented the series from Netflix. No one I know has heard of it.

My fav episodes so far are probably "World's Biggest" and "Face Off".

Or possibly "Cell Phone" :)

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

omg the cell phone one was hilarious. I don't remember the titles of all of them yet, but have you seen the one where Lacy steps in to help the curling team? Its quite good as well.

:) If it's the hockey team, that one is 'Face Off' :). I loved the bit were Brent stares at lacey's crotch and goes "hello #######'

I can't think of many actors who could deliver that line without sounding sleazy.

I have never really watched the show, but was surprised to see it on TV down here.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I adore this show. It's absolutely hilarious. We used to watch it prior to election coverage every Wednesday evening on WGN. I don't think it's on anymore now though. Maybe later at night, but we're in bed by 9-9:30 pm so we probably miss it. It's in it's final season this year I think. Won lots of awards.

Gene really enjoys it as well however when he's relating to others about the show, he tells them it has "Canadian" humour in it, that others may not get.:lol:

When I was in Saskatchewan last May I picked up some memorabilia at the airport.

Never got a chance to watch this one but would have liked to.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

I have to admit- I never really watched it when I lived in Canada. When it started up here in the US on TBS, we started watching it and were hooked.

We have since purchased all the seasons that are out on DVD. Maybe we'll hit on some tonight- haven't watched any in a while.

LoL, funny thing that you mention this show. After my parents first met Mel, and realized that they knew virtually nothing about Canada, my dad started watching this show. As if he could gleen some image of Canadian culture off a t.v. show. I did have to tell them to forget completely about the movie Strange Brew (One of my dad's favorites).

Oh well, at least he tried - he wanted to learn something about your wife's background which has to get a thumbs up, even if it was a wacky way to go about it :)

My fiance (USC) loves Corner Gas! When I first introduced him to the show I thought he wouldn't find it funny due to the "Canadian" humour. He loves it! I think one of his favourite shows was the one about the cell phones...

My favorite episode was the one with the gnome who looked like Oscar.

I did sign up to the website a while back- I get the "Dog River Howler" in my email now.
