hopefully someone can post a link of a checklist that I can show the police record clearance department? Apperently, I need to show them a checklist. But I want to get a head start with ordering my record as their mailing timeline is 12 business days. The lady says what a lot of ppl do is search them on the Internet.

You should be able to get one from RCMP.

Inside Canada: Applicants who are physically present in Canada should contact their local police service or Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) office regarding criminal record check procedures. Applicants may obtain a certificate of no conviction issued by any Canadian police service so long as it notes that Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) or the national criminal records repository was searched using the applicant’s name and date of birth. Applicants should ensure that the search includes all names that they have previously used, including maiden names, prior married names, or names used before Canadian naturalization. (Note: Because records checks based on name and date of birth only are sometimes less thorough than those based on fingerprints, U.S. diplomatic offices reserve the right to request that certain applicants obtain fingerprint-based searches from the RCMP.)

My husband went this morning to get his. It can take 20 minutes to 1 hour depending on the time of day you get there.

The RCMP "E" Division Headquarters will process requests for Canadian Police Certificate for Visa Applicants/Foreign Travel/Foreign Work Permits. The fee for this service is $40.00 (plus GST) and $20.00 (plus GST) for each additional Certificate. We accept CASH ONLY. The hours of operation are 07:30 to 14:30 Monday through Friday; except on holidays.

yes I understand where I can get it and what not. But what I do not understand is how can some people receive a clearance certificate without a letter/document from the consulate and/or etc.?

I only have the NOA2 and im waiting for my DS3032 which NVC said they are sending very soon. So does this mean i have to wait for the packets to arrive and thats what I'll be showing to the rcmp/police?
