Ok, being the USC, im getting ready to send in the I-129F, and I was just wondering, for the proving I am a USC portion, if I include only copies of every page of my passport, is this sufficient? Or should I include a copy of my birth certificate? Is it and either/or choice or would I be better off sending both? Thanks all!

I sent both. Worked OK for me. I didn't include every page. Just the Biographic page and pages with stamps on them.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

"Or" actually does mean "or" but many K1 petitioners send copies of passports because of the evidence of meeting shown in the pages with entry and exit stamps.

It is, according to the instructions, either/or.

I did both because it meant exactly two additional sheets of paper and less time that it took you to ask the question and WAY less than reading my rambling, protracted answer. Remember to copy ALL (ALL means ALL including front and back covers) of the passport and BOTH sides of the birth certificate. If the back of the birth certificate is blank, copy it and submit a blank page, wirte on the blank page "copy of back of birth certificate" You could try to be sneakey and simply attach a blank sheet but they may have copy detector scanner fratastats which would become discombobulated and be able to tell you slipped a blank sheet under their nose. You would then get an RFE asking for a fresh sheet of blank paper run through a copy machine and your case would be delayed for weeks. Best to copy it first. :)

Excellent advice!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I love starting my day with a laugh. Thanks! That was hilarious. In the line item for my birth certificate, I simply added (a one-sided document). Your idea is cute though.

As silly as some of these instructions seem, it is best to follow the instructions or as indicated above, make slight modifications so the the adjudicator understands that you actually READ the instructions....

YMMV
